I am so sad for the boys who were abused. I hope they can overcome this. What should have been about a half hour bus ride is probably going to be with them the rest of their lives. A crime like this can change who a person is. Hopefully with some help they will be ok. I hope their abusers are punished to the fullest extent of the law. Any bystanders who let this happen, shame on you.

To the victims, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and most of all THIS WAS NOT YOUR FAULT.

I donot think any of these adults should be in a classroom or anywhere on school property as coaches or anything- fired- for not investigating any disturbance happening on the bus , and not stopping this. This is violence, a sexual attack/assault - how can they even be let back onto school property at all????? what is wrong with this picture??? all adults and the older students need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. How can any of them be let back onto school property????? Just cannot comprehend any of this, disgusting and unbelievable.

To all the people who would like to see these coaches held accountable, please, please attend the meeting on Thursday to voice your opinion!! It may the only way to get it done. It will help in the healing process for these young boys..to know that this behavior and these crimes will not be tolerated and the people responsible will get the punishment they deserve. They should no longer be allowed to teach our children.

What do these so called teachers not understand about chaperoning students? Throw the tenure out the window because it is obviously undeserved.

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

the media needs to end this. NOW. they are created a mess that isnt necessary. Nobody knows what actually went on.

arresting the teachers was completely ridiculous... anybody who knows those men know they would never permit something like that to happen if they knew about it.

everyone needs to sit down. shut up and worry about their own kids.

I've known one of the coaches for over 15 years and it is inconceivable that he would let something like this go on. It's even harder to believe that 3 adults would do nothing. It's about time that parents begin to accept the responsibility for their childrens felonious behaviors. I'll bet if any of the teachers attempted to stop this activity(not to say it actually happened) and they put a hand on any of the little darlings their parents would have immediately had the coaches arrested for assault.
Too many students in too many schools have made a game of ruinning the lives of respected adults. If anything the parents of these students should be arrested for allowing their children to behave in such a manner. A teacher cannot be held responsible or expected to correct these problems.
A teacher who spends a few hours a day with a multitude of students can't be held responsible for what one parents with a few kids can't acomplish over many years. What did arresting these coaches accomplish? As usual the media has been the judge and jury.

I think that REPUBLICANS and CONSERVATIVES are running and ruining this country and county...where are the liberals you are talking about? You do not know the voting determination of any of those parents of students arrested..so how do you discuss and comment with such constant bias against liberals..sick people are just that..sick... and of all political choices!

Just let the criminal justice system investigate this and the facts will be revealed and you must accept what comes out..whether you like it or not. You never know people..really!
If anyone knows about crime it is the justice system..let them sort out guilt or innocence and as a young person you should learn that there is always things you don't want to hear or face..it is called adulthood!

I can understand that teachers can become "burned out" from dealing with a lot of these kids whom the parent didn't raise with high standards and morals. But don't try to tell us that the coaches couldn't do anything. What about the 90-pound 13 year old young boy who desparately needed his help? If you can no longer stand to deal with children, get out of the teaching profession. I for one think that tenure and teacher's unions should be abolished. Teachers begin to get lazy and not care after they get tenure. That is ridiculous. Atlas and Baia are being paid to chaperone, they failed in the most miserable way possible.

dear teacher, if you check back into the years you will find a teacher who was being investigated for possible sexual abuse. a teacher can be held responsible after all you are adults, are'nt you.we are judge and jury when we know about somethings going on at this school.so get things straight.the coaches are as guilty as the persons who did this, they did nothing, they just sat back and did nothing..what if this was you chid it happened to.so don't defend these coaches.what more learks behind your doors.check back into the past years.
