Lotta hot air here.
Everybody go home and write me a note on November 5.
Most everybody has a made up mind in this neck of the woods....I just laugh at all the dumb bickering.

Vote for whoever you like....but make sure to vote.

From the hoo-rahs to the Jesus people...it don't
mean nuthin. Just leave people be.

This woman is another religious nut.

Shae says the war in Iraq is a task from God.

The Moslems say God wants them to attack us.

How many Gods are there?

Is God talking with a forked tongue?

We've had enuff of this religious horseshit over the last eight years. Give it a rest!!!

I wouldn't know, apparently you are the expert in terd polishing too.

Someone told me about this forum so I decided to read the comments.

Let me start by saying I am born and raised in Buffalo. I joined the Army at the age of 18. I spent 7 years living in Fort Wainwright Alaska. Some of those years were under Gov. Palin.

Did you know that she is for banning books in libraries? Censoring what our kids read? Who is she to say what my kid can read? Is that not my choice?

She is extremely Pro Life, wanted to make even medically necessary abortions illegal? Is that not a decision husband/wife or man/woman should make together? Who is she to say that a womans life is not important only a childs is?

She feels that god is her guide? He will stear her in all her decisions? And that all children should be forced to pray at school everymorning? I am jewish..why would I pray to a christian god?

She actaully accumulated more debt in Alaska than it had in a really long time.

My friends that still reside in Alaska think it is a joke that she was picked for VP. They dont think she is going to help this country at all.

I know I am going to get in trouble for this post but I really dont care. Until you have seen Palin in action, seen how she decides things, and been under her rule people really cant comment.

I witnessed all this and it was not pretty. Yes I do vote, but I vote for the best person not by party. And I dont think she is the best choice at all.

To all the liberals out there asking how can Palin be a VP and a good mother at the same time, please answer this: How can Obama be a President and good father at the same time? Has anyone EVER asked how any of our past presidents could be good fathers while performing their duties? No! Yet another ridiculous, unfounded criticism by the leftists out there! Oh yes, and you might want to tell your protestors to act like humans rather than sadistic animals next time they form a protest, they might get more respect that way! Those protestors outside the RNC this week were pathetic - they would sway me TOWARD the Republican party not against, because I sure wouldn't want to support anything or anyone that a bunch of immature vandalous criminals like that support!

Does everyone know that her daughter Bristol is a pregnant 17 year old? Any good bounce he would have gotten by picking a Pro-Life VP will evaporate once everyone finds this out. Oh- and everyone thought the wierdly named Trig was Bristol's Down Syndrome baby, and that Palin had pretended she was the Mom. So they had to come out and tell everyone that Bristol is 5 months pregnant NOW.
Wonder what they'll name the baby? Ny-Quil?
Why would you say that? Who cares that her 17 year old is pregnant? While I'm on it, who cares if her husband had a DWI 20 years ago? What does that have to do with anything?(Heck you're own Mr. Wonderful Obama stated family, and especially children, should be OFF LIMITS!!!) Anyway, if any of that did matter, than why aren't any of you liberals chastizing Obama HIMSELF for his admitted drug use in the past? I see Palin as a TRUE representative of the PEOPLE. She's not a fake. She doesn't hide the problems her family faces in every day life (the same problems so many in America face). In fact, I'd say they handled their daughters pregnancy quite well. I only hope that I can give my children enough guidance to do the right thing and make the right decisions, but if they slip up, I sure hope they also feel comfortable enough coming to me to talk about it, as her daughter did.(Oh and i wonder...how many of those who are criticizing the pregnancy had premarital sex at 16, 17, 18, and just "got lucky" by having no pregnancy result??) Palin is certainly not an elitest. She has lived the blue collar life. As for Trig (God bless the little guy - he was born into a loving, caring family), that was the leftist media and webloggers who started the pathetic rumor that he was the 17 year old's son - pretty PATHETIC for those people to stoop to such ridiculous and immature levels as to use an INNOCENT baby in their groundless attacks. I was unsure of McCain's pick initially. But after reading up, and listening to her speech, I like her! She is REAL. Do I agree with everything she stands for? No.(I believe in a woman's right to choose, for one.) But then I don't agree with everything my spouse believes in either! I don't think there is any one person out there who can say they absolutely agree with every single thing any candidate believes!

I feel for the Palin family...these things happen to many families. Let's not politicize a young girl who has some difficult times ahead. That being said...
What kind of judgment does it show by McCain (or his staffers) that they would choose someone who could cause such controversy. AND if they didn't already know about it...then Palin withheld this info. How could she accept the VP spot knowing that her daughter would be outed when she is going through such a vulnerable period of her life....
Cause such controversy??!! Why? Because their human and make mistakes like the rest of us? Because they face the SAME problems so many "normal" Americans face every day? Because she might actually be able to RELATE to the everyday, blue collar, American family? I see no controversy - just a typical American family facing unfortunate problems like so many others out there! Get real people! The Palins are human just like the rest of us, only they don't try to hide that fact.

Commie...although we tend to disagree politically...you seem like a decent kinda guy sometimes. Strong family values, etc
Would you ever dream of putting your 17 year old daughter out there for everyone to see and judge? I hope not. Palin had to know what would happen...
While it is an honor to be picked as running mate, she could have made a personal sacrifice to protect her daughter and her family.
My guess is (after seeing the kind of woman Palin is and the family she has) she presented the possibilities to her daughter and her daughter told mom to go for it, that she could handle the criticism. Maybe the 17 year old - through her mistakes - is just a bit more mature than she is being given credit for by the leftist media, and perhaps she is more mature than those doing the criticizing!

It came out in the vetting process ??? My 16 year old daughter curls up in a little ball when I ask about her relationships ... We are talking about a Mom who works 60 hours a week and a dad who likes to take 1,800 mile snowmobiles races... They are likely not at home much... It is very possible, and I presume likely, the mom didn't find out about this until this week .... If I am McCain and I have this info last week now way am I picking her for VP...
<quoted text>
Mom works a lot of hours but regularly takes the younger kids to the office if dad isn't home. Dad is a stay-at-home dad, by the way. How about you get your facts straight before you criticize? If I am McCain, I am very proud of my decision, as it means I don't criticize someone for mistakes that many people make every day.

Hey Chris- That question does not have to be asked when a man was the president because his WIFE was taking care of this kids. LOOK I hear your point but let's get real- mothers are the primary care giver. She has a 4 month old with a severe disability and 2 kids under the age of 11- the most percious and impressable years of their lives and she will be on a bus with Mccain for the next 60 days campaining non stop or representing America (if she wins) across the world. This is not a 9 to 5 job. All I am saying is that these children need their MOMMY - great dad is there however there is NO replacing mom and no replacing those precious years. Priorties need to be made hear and where her's lie is very interesting don't you think?

Change is getting out of a war we should not have been in the first place. How will we pay for it? We won't have to. We simply won't waste BILLIONS of dollars to end the war that GB started and GWB wants to finish.
How do you feel about GWB going down as the least supported president in all of American history?
Let's hear your excuse for that one.
Does that change you speak of mean getting out RESPONSIBLY?(As opposed to now leaving that country and it's citizens in the lurch? And without putting our own citizens in America at risk?) At first I thought going to war was the right thing to do. I still do, however I think things were carried out irresponsibly over the years. But is it right to act JUST AS irresponsibly in bringing an end to the war? I think not. Ending a war responsibly isn't as simple as so many on the left seem to think. You can't just pull out troops and say "it's over", not in this day and age.

I agree. We can't just turn off the lights and shut the door. It has to be done responsibly.
The fact of the matter is, being there for the wrong reasons from the start is putting America(n's) at risk. Our presence there is giving those wacko's more reasons to plan retaliation long after GWB is out of office.
