Locals on Palin's speech

Yeah, as if she actually wrote that speech instead of some professionally paid speech writer. And what was up with the two Pollyanna ponytails? Are we choosing a vice pres or are we watching a rerun of Pippi Longstocking?

Show me one politician that writes their own speeches. Do you think Obama writes his speeches? Have you ever heard him speak off the cuff? He sounds worse than GWB.

That speech last night was OK at best. I felt like I was watching a backup quarterback coming in to mop up in garbage time after I listened to the people who are actually qualified to be a VP like Mitt, Rudy, and Thompson.

buy this hockey mom crap...not me.
If they wanted to put a broad with management
skills in the job, how come they didn't put up Carly
Fiorina, former head of HP? Or any number of other
GOP broads with REAL experience....but no, they
choose a broad from the boonies, with no experience
and a Jesus freak at that....God's on our side,etc.
She's a complete jerk....you will soon see this as
she appears more often....

We didn't hear about any issues from Gov. Palin last night...all she did was spew about the Dems and Obama. No substance or real talk about what she and McCain will do for this country

I thought she did a great job, and gave America a sample of the good that is to come. I'm excited about Palin and McCain. She is being unfairly attacked for being "inexperienced," by someone who served in the senate for just over 100 days. Whatever!

I love how its mean and unfair to talk about Palin daughter, but its OK for Palin to bring up her son that is going to Iraq!

I guess you can only bring up your children if they can be used to further your political career.

Good point. I was doing some internet research earlier this week, and ran across a speech by Obama. He was speaking at a black pastor's conference (where he praised his 'good friend' Rev. Wright). He didn't even sound like the same person we see on TV campaigning. He was saying brutha this and brutha that as opposed to brother. And in front of the American public he is lilly white. What a fraud. He can't even be real for a minute. American cannot trust him. He followed Rev. Wright (a racist, hate-filled, anti-American) for 20 years. He will sell our country out in a minute!

If being "yourself" means you are racist, hate-filled and unpatriotic, then you shouldn't run for president of the United States.

A person who sits under the leadership of a minister who has made inflammatory statements, such as:

Black on black crime is wrong. You're fighting the wrong enemy. So the enemy is white people?

Blacks shouldn't say God bless America but GD America. Denounce your own country?

These are just a couple of examples. Obama then appointed him to a spiritual council. Obama called Wright a close friend, mentor and "like an uncle." Birds of a feather....
