ok folks the original story says careless smoking, the follow-up story claims hot ashes from marijuana caused the fire...now that makes sense because he was high...but still let the lottery pay for the damages...all we hear about is how the lottery is used for schools let them put thier money where thier mouth is...and hay maybe he didn't inhale

Hey if he wants to smoke pot, fine, whatever (it's probably safer than alcohol), but be smart about it! The kid did the damage with his stupidity and he should pay for at least some of it!

I am going to do my best to weed out this problem.

Ok i go to medaille and live in the south dorms and all i have to say is that this accident isn't as crazy as you guys are making it seem we all understand that this isn't a joke but really the news is making it sound like he killed everyone which is clearly not true. Half the kids that are in the dorms either smoke pot or drink in dorms while the RA's are standing outside so the way i see it the people that are suppose to be making it a safe place to stay is partly to blame.

Just because you get high doesn't mean you can't get high grades. Smoked all through school an never had a grade below a 96. If it was my choice, we all should. Just be a little more careful than him.

like anyone should feel sorry for this loser. Lets consider all the other students who have been affected by the stupidity of this one student. My child worked hard to earn money to have the opportunity to attend college. He just threw his college future in the garbage can along with his drugs. He needs a good kick in the butt. You may think this is a big joke and apparently college was a joke to him, but some students do go to college to get a degree and become a attribute to society. Oh and take pride in becoming a success by working hard. Why should we waste money on fixing what he destroyed. Put the money towards someone who cares.
