Every month we get a statement showing what Medicare pays for our drugs. Medicare pays two, three, or four times the list price for our drugs!!!! Most outlandish example - my wife took Pravachol. When we paid out of our pockets, cost was $21/month from drugstore.com (Rite Aid). Medicare was paying $97/month for the very same drug!!! You're a business guy. How long would you stay in business paying such over the top prices for the things you purchase? The nice thing about this is that the law is written in such a manner to prevent the Medicare Admin from negotiating prices with the drug guys. As I say, the lobbyists run the Government. THIEVERY!!!!!!!!!!
Privatization? Not sure I trust the Wall Street Bastards. Did a nice job on the mortgage debacle.

I'm in Lake Placid doing some work over the weekend. I noticed a lot of Russian accents over her...not to mention those 30-something Russian ladies. When I was talking with the broker on this deal I asked about the Russian accents I was hearing. He told me that they are buying hotels, resorts and the like up here. He loves doing business with them. They're high end buyers, cut a deal, stick with the terms,and everything is cash. He said that every deal with the Russians has no financing involved. My read...they're moving money out of Russia. The situation must be getting dicey. It just doesn't make sense that two sisters from Kaliningrad in their '30s own a resort hotel. By the way.....there is a culinary festival over here this weekend. The diet will begin again tomorrow...if I feel like it.
