Do you ever wonder what these people's kids are doing while they are out on the street with signs? Why can't people butt out of other peoples lives?????

Why do people waste a lot of time doing this?
Maybe you should listen to the song by Everlast, What It's Like:
Mary got pregnant from a kid named Tom who said he was in love, He said don't worry about a thing baby doll I'm the man you've been dreamin' of, But three months later he said he won't date her or return her call, And she sweared god damn if I find that man I'm cuttin' off his balls, And then she heads for the clinic and she gets some static walkin' through the doors, They call her a killer, and they call her a sinner, and they call her a ****, God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in her shoes,'Cause then you really might know what it's like to have to choose.

It's like religion... everyone believes something different yet nothing you believe is 100% right, it's only right for you.

If you don't believe abortion is right than don't have one and teach your daughters about sex and everything else that comes along with it. Abstinence is not the only answer! Education is a huge part of it.

If you believe you have the right to choose than great, if you're OK with that than that's your business but you can't tell someone they're wrong for believing otherwise. Same goes for the right to lifer's.

It's unfortunate these people have nothing better to do with their time than tell women what to do with their own bodies.

Well abortion is safer than pregnancy and childbirth. Childbirth risks death even in the western countries. Forcing someone to continue a pregnancy and go through childbirth when they do not want or love the child is wrong. A child should be loved, there is nothing worse than being hated by your own mother. Do you really think they will suddenly love the child?

I have three children. I have been through pregnancy and childbirth. I also chose to have an abortion when I was younger. It was a horrible decision but the right one at the time. I am married, finished my education and have a good job. If I had kept the child when I was pregnant when I was very young (Had not even finished my education) then I would be on benefits now. My BF at the time left me and was not interested in the baby at all. I was alone. If he had married me, I would probably have kept the child, so it is not all the woman's fault!

Just to add. I did not want an abortion at all, and despite everyone saying it is the woman's choice. When you are faced with living on the streets because you are still a child and dependant on your parents for support as you are still in the education system, and your BF walks out on you and will not honour you with marriage. What choice do you have? I actually screamed murderer loudly through the clinic afterwards and they had to sedate me because I upset the other patients and I have had therapy since then. I then met a loving and caring man.

I think the key is education. Sex should be about love and people need to also be eaducated about contraception, some people never speak to their kids about anything let alone sex.

Another note as well, the clinics only concern is your credit card as well. That was one thing I noticed. They only care about whether you can pay or not and they are very cold and uncaring. No idea if it has changed since but they are totally unsupportive and councelling is a joke. The women who have unplanned pregnancies need a lot more care and support, they don't get it. Just typical really of the throw away society we live in. Sad really. People need to care more.

People need to matter. Not money or material things. The problem is people don't care. There is too much apathy.

In the case of an unplanned pregnancy there need to be more support centres to help people make the right decision.

Roe v. Wade centrally held that a mother may abort her pregnancy for any reason, up until the "point at which the fetus becomes ‘viable.’" The Court defined viable as being potentially able to live outside the mother's womb, albeit with artificial aid. Viability usually occurs at about seven months (28 weeks) but may occur earlier, even at 24 weeks." The Court also held that abortion after viability must be available when needed to protect a woman's health,

I would like to hear you say that when you get pregnant accidentally then have to go through 9 mths of pregnancy that ravages your body then go through childbirth, to be told by others you are nothing, you have no rights, you are an incubator and all that matters is the baby inside your body.

abortion will not be overturned. most likely. when viewers and readers of the news start hearing about divisive subjects like this, things no one will ever agree upon (think flag burning, gays in military, etc) SOMEONE IS DIVERTING YOUR
ATTENTION!
from things like economics, non-repairable infrastructure, and a world that hates the usa.

It is true, all this hype comes up at every election. Seems to be a diversion for sure, or a way to win votes...

in the next 2-3 weeks, i confidently predict the issue 'where does the candidate stand on (fill in the blank)? it's as predictable as the need for 'change'.
i encourage no one to vote. it does not matter. aint enough room to explain why.

if men got pregnant abortions would be available at every drive thorugh fast food outlet.

a fetus is no more "life" than a fast growing cancer tumor. should we save cancer?

you are free to believe what you like, but you are not free to force your religion on everybody else.
If you believe God gave us everything, and free will, then God created abortion and it is a blessed event.

I also agree with the person who pointed out this is a massive distraction from intelligent voting
and one of the reasons we're in this mess.

The pro-life crusade is such hypocrisy. If the same people really gave a darn about the suffering of the world, they would make universal health coverage a priority, crusade against war, and adopt a vegetarian diet. There are already too many humans on this planet and we can't take care of the kids who already exist. Thousands die each day from hunger and lack of basic medical care. If you want to relieve the suffering of beings, adopt, mentor or volunteer time to help a child, end wars, and become a vegetarian.

Chain of Life??? What a joke. There was no "chain", just people scattered down the Blvd. holding signs informing people of their opinions.

Don't like abortion? Well, don't have one. Problem solved. It is a valid medical procedure that should not be denied to a woman simply because of some religious nutcases.

How do these protesters stand on other 'life' issues like war and the death penalty?
