Maybe Tyler could have worked at a local dining establishment but they couldn't hire him because they can't afford to with the higher cost of having to replace condiments and purchase new silverware. D### those Forbes elitist.

You haughty moron! Read the original post!!!!!! These are disabled people who live in a rural area!!!!!!! They can't take the 7 Train to the US Open.....not every place in NY is NYC. Good for you that you have a great job and two cars.....guess what? You are one car crash away caused by a drunken skunk coming out of nowhere to losing your great job, your two cars, and life as you know it to be. Your priorities will change. While you may not have a sense of entitlement....you have a sense of invulnerability. Just be glad you're not the person having to say good bye to your set of wheels....say a prayer and/or make a donation to the local food bank for those who do.
Wow, you must be a liberal goochlicker after that non-value-added rant.

I got caught up in that mess during the late 1970s, early 1980s, with no job and a newborn on my hands. Food stamps, welfare, sitting for hours in the Rath Building....the whole nine yards. Then to make matters worse, my father-in-law offed himself because he lost his job and couldn't handle the debt collectors. I never forgot, nor will I ever forget how rough life can really be. Sometimes people do all the right things in life and life still goes sour. That why I ask people how old they are when they say 2008 is tough. That's why I get ruffled when I hear..."I'm responsible, I got a job...." All that can change in a second
So just how far did you get? You living in Sheridan Parkside or in the Tonawanda Housing Authority, LOL.

You did all the right things in life by spreading your legs for some scumbag's seed and then being stuck without a vision of how to succeed. The government bailed you out, you leech.

You are part of the PROBLEM, not part of the solution.

Hendo Native,

I suspect you are a relatively young person that never faced too much adversity in life. Don't worry, you will, pain and adversity touches everyone. Please don't think you're an exception. To start, I'm a guy....so I don't spread my legs. So you want to know how far I got? Yes, I'm a leech...but a different variety. I am the managing partner of a company that provides consulting services to investment banks with a presence on both coasts. This leech starts people off in the low 50s, pays 100% of medical, dental, and disability. While I don't match 401(k) contributions as I feel that your job....I do provide a cash balance pension, and four weeks vacation to start. This leech has been hit with the Alternative Minimum Tax for the past few years because a different variety of leeches in Washington decided I don't pay enough taxes. Yes, I am part of the PROBLEM. The problem is that there are not enough leeches like me who understand how cruel and unforgiving life can be. However, I can't be too concerned as there as quite a large number of people out there who have the solution to the "problems" of this society. Their solution is to trash talk people, denigrate them, and poke fun at their plight. All incredibly productive strategies that solve "problems". So you wanted to know how far I got without a vision to succeed. There you have it. May I respectfully ask how far you traveled with "your vision" as to how to succeed?

Commie, I admire you. Many people who have your sort of job don't mix with others and let them know how fortunate they could become if only they would try. My guess is that you didn't start out as well as you are now but managed to work your way up the corporate ladder. For that you get a gold star in my book.:-)
