In 1980, unemployment was not 6% as it is now, inflation was not 3% but 13%, a mortgage was not 6%...prime was 18%. Then and now is not even close. You may think that Bush was the worst POTUS in our history, but its not for us to judge. To determine the performance of any President requires at least 50 years into the future. Doing the right thing is not always popular. Lincoln and Truman were despised during their Presidencies. What does history say about those two now? I think Bush stinks and I'm a Conservative. However, historians looking back a half a century may have a different opinion. All I know is that the Bush era is over, period. It's time for either McCain or Obama to write the next chapter.....for good or for bad. The Commie

The Commie In 1980 we didn't have financial institutions failing left and right and U.S. government bailouts that will end up costing trillions. The current global economic situation is FAR more precarious now than in 1980, and historians making judgments 30 to 50 years from now will see that *IF* things in this nation (and especially in the Middle East) are significantly better than now - it will not be due to any of Bush's actions finally 'paying off' but because a lot of good people went to a lot of trouble and expense to undo the massive damage done by Bush & Cheney's deeply flawed policies.

Regardless of your political affiliation, everyone in America should be aware of the lawsuit (Berg v. Obama) talked about on this video. I find it alarming that our media has not mentioned it. Go to: http://www.obamacrimes.com/ . On that same website you’ll be able to print out the documents submitted to the courts. This is not an attack by the opposing party. I was surprised that the lawsuit is being driven by an attorney who has for years been extremely involved in politics as a Democrat. I have checked this on Snopes.com , and while it addresses the general issue of eligibility/ineligibility, the statement that Snopes says is False is “Barack Obama does not qualify as a natural-born citizen of the US because his mother was too young.” Of course that is false. That is NOT the issue in this video ^^^^^^^^^^ Debbie from Lancaster wrote: I hope Palin kicks butt tonight... I can't wait to see debate.

Letter Prosecuting Weathermen Published: October 9, 2008 To the Editor: Re “Politics of Attack”(editorial, Oct. 8) and “Obama and ’60s Bomber: A Look Into Crossed Paths”(front page, Oct. 4): As the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen in the 1970s (I was then chief of the criminal division in the Eastern District of Michigan and took over the Weathermen prosecution in 1972), I am amazed and outraged that Senator Barack Obama is being linked to William Ayers’s terrorist activities 40 years ago when Mr. Obama was, as he has noted, just a child. Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen. Because Senator Obama recently served on a board of a charitable organization with Mr. Ayers cannot possibly link the senator to acts perpetrated by Mr. Ayers so many years ago.I do take issue with the statement in your news article that the Weathermen indictment was dismissed because of “prosecutorial misconduct.” It was dismissed because of illegal activities, including wiretaps, break-ins and mail interceptions, initiated by John N. Mitchell, attorney general at that time, and W. Mark Felt, an F.B.I. assistant director. William C. Ibersh of Mill Valley, Calif., Oct. 8, 2008 http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/10/opinion/l10...
