Now that Gov. Paterson wants cuts, but his employees are still in the money;What happened to the $100 checks that were going to be paid to every NYS resident to help with the rising gas prices?! Us older residents on foodstamps could really use some extra money to buy food whose cost is skyrocketing.

Here are a few ideas sure to tick a few people off. 1)Quit spending money on colleges and put that money into getting the 50% of kids who don't graduate high school an education. 2)Evenly divide up the education money per pupil and not as the current shell game is played. 3)Cut all non emergency(except like prisons,state cops,highway,ect;)10% in the budgets. 4) Eliminate most middle managers positions.They are the overburden that most companies eliminated long ago. 5)Sell off all assets that are not supposed to be run by the govt. Like all the golf courses,power authority. and 6) Consolidate all authorities back into the state system.
