Once a person reaches a certain age, their body reacts different to things than it once did. A med change can create confusion. Maybe she missed a dose and that was a result. But to me the bottom line is, Will the family continue to let her drive??? I would hope not,not just for others safety but for her own as well. Nope. She will not be driving in the future.

I'm able to "connect" with these families and their troubles in a very "meaningful" way, ya know? My life has never had so many ups and downs and never been quite as exciting as this.....LMAO! It looks like this jack is the one who needs a baby sitter. Where is your mommy little boy?

I like that police incourage us now more then ever to be "our brothers keeper" I just hope that they are as agressive about helping colored people as they are white. Never know one day it might be me or one of my family in need. Awwwww poor black people, no one listens to them, has feelings for them, nothing, nothing at all. With that type of attitude you SHOULD not get anything. Maybe that's why you have that attitude because no one will pay attention to you because of your sttitude? Hmmmmmm something to think about huh?

My mother did the same thing one day, drove to the dentist that she had been going to for over 30 years and got lost. Next week it was the bank, then it was the bank calling me about her calls. It was THE hardest thing in the world to have to tell my mother "you can not drive anymore" after that it took about 18 months before I had to put her in nursing home because of alzheimers. That to this day bothers me terribly, there should have been other things I could have done, but realistically it was the best thing for her. To watch someone as stong as my mother was in her day to succumb to a terrible death that she did last year, not knowing who her only child was for 3 years, not knowing where she was, thinking she was "going to the prom" this saturday night. Not being able to remember to eat, go to the bathroom etc. You might think that you would never remember not to eat but let me tell you to watch a woman go from 180 lbs to 125 in 18 months, just terrible. I hope they can get the "grandma" some help, and I hope she dosent have to suffer like most do with alzheimers. They say it is harder on the children than it is on the people, and definately it is harder on the children.

It is simply ridiculous to bring race into this paticular situation, where in tarnation did that come from, Tasha? Love has no color and even if it was a dog, have some concern, honey. By the way I am a black woman.

As a family member of this child I know that my aunt and uncle would not have left McKinzie in the hands of anyone in which they felt was unsafe...I have been in contact with Wilma with in the last week and would never have thought that she would be "out there"...I pulled up multiple stories online where men/women have formed a form of amnesia and could not recall who they are or how they got there...Wilma, nevertheless is an outstanding woman and a wonderful grandmaother to all of her grandchildren

Glad to hear they are both safe.
Why are you all arguing about race on here anyway? This story was about a missing 2 year old and her granny. Geez, be happy they are both ok !

I am praying the grandmother. This may be a permanent thing(alzheimer's or?) or something as simple as med change needed. Plenty of grandparents are watching their grandchildren with no problems. I am sure the child's parents wouldn't of left the baby with her if they thought there was a problem.

BCROOK wrote: Just another reason why young children SHOULD-NOT be left with the elderly. She could have been reliable, BUT still, there comes an age were you can't be sure anymore!! This is not being "mean" or "rude". Its called being a responsible parent!! Who gets to decide the age when "you" will no longer be allowed to watch "your " grandchildren? 76 is not that old! I am sure she is reliable or the parents wouldn't of in trusted the child to her care. She could have any number of problems? Something that has got progressive worse? Or something that just happened to her. That is for her family and doctor to take care of. You cant make a blanket statement -like all old people shouldn't be allowed to be with their grandchildren. I know some one 60 who cant take care of them self's. I know another women in her 70 who is raising three great grandchildren!
