I'm just wondering how much of our tax dollars will go into this business bail out, and how long it will take before the taxpayers are paid back (I know, I know, the taxpayers are never paid back, ever!).

This is just like Ronald Reagan's Savings and Loan Scandal of the 1980s when the government bailed out the failed SnL business'.

We should never allow a business to grow so large that it's failure can affect the world economy as this and it's trickle down effects apparently will.

It's the second Great Depression, our leaders just can't see it.

McCain will be another 4 years of the huge mess we find ourselves in now. He voted with Bush 90% of the time in congress. Hopefully Obama will be able to clean up this mess left behind by Bush/Cheney/McCain(they're all the same).

I will start receiving my social security in 24 months. I now live on a VA dissability, and things were rough at first, but manageable, with my limited skills of "living within my means". I never use credit for anything. I just haven't trusted banks for years. I don't borrow, or lend.
Those two words can bring hatred, and deceit.
With all the borrowing, and lending, I hope they don't "again" cut into the social security that I have paid into for the last several years.
In the years ahead of us, I would still like to say
God Bless America. I would hate to bow down to a monatary dictatorship.
There is a God

Yeah, and Obama will be another 45 years of Fidel Castro.

This bailout does nothing for the people who are losing their homes. The dumb people who got in to mortgages over their head are still going to be homeless. Don’t forget that. So who is it helping? This bill is helping the money lenders. The speculators. The corrupt. The incompetent. The criminally fraudulent traders. The foreign owned banks. All it does for the working American is add to the bill that some day must be paid with taxes. This is the dumbest thing in a long line of dumb things that George Bush, who will go down in History as the worst President we ever had, has done to date.

It was Obama his friends and supporters who stole the millions from the mortgage companies Freddie May and Freddie Mac. Left wing liberal Democrats all. With the help of Billie Bob and his left wing liberal controlled Congress.

You are well qualified for a job with the thought police. I sure Obama will find a slot for you when he takes over. Of course you will have to give up welfare.

That was not "No Child left Behind" it was Bush's Legacy "No Child left a Dime"
Only the little sheep who have not wondered away from Fox News, Hannity, Rush L. and Ann Coulter could get confused and think it was "No Child Left Behind".

I think they should start with the corrupt lenders and the exorbitantly paid CEO's. Make them pay a set amount or percentage out of the billions they've all accumlated. Then, whatever is left over can be devided among the tax payers.

Is good idea, but these people rule over the politburo and there is nothing the proletariat can do to stop what is being done.
