If people only knew the truth about those that are sworn to protect and serve. They would be ammased.

I am one of the volunteers for this event and again, it shows that WISH TV is completely out of touch with reality. This rally was set up as a non-partisan event which attracted an array of groups from across our state and yes, everyone was recruiting--not just the Libertarian Party. Every single day we are reminded of irresponsible journalism that fails in their duty to educate the public and this is exactly the reason why we are now determined to create a new media outlet to compete with your news organization.

Get a life folks.

The Libertarian Party had a booth, along with several others, and maybe a couple of the speakers (out of 10 or more) but this was event was represented by more Republican led organizations it seems. A local Republican attorney was the primary organizer, NOT the LP in this case and numerous groups promoted the event across the state.
Interesting hit job on channel 8 this evening that interviewed some of the booth people who are not necessarily media savvy or expecting to be interviewed. The news bit did not have information or interviews from the organizers or speakers at the event. |

Dear Jim Shella & WISH-TV,
You have embarrassed yourself and your profession. This event did not lack focus. It was about instructing our public servants to follow the laws...you know, the Constitution. It is obvious to all of us that you are in bed with the local establishment. Yes, we know all of your Indiana Week In Review show which features government insiders and political hacks to advance their heist of the public's treasury. http://advanceindiana.blogspot.com/2006/08/ji... Jim Shella, we have had enough! |

The mainstream media has been complicit of the fraud and bezzle in the capital markets and government for decades.Hence the rise and popularity of blogs and the death of newspapers. The people don't believe in the product they put out.
Word is that a nationwide protests are coming this summer at every corporate news outlet in America. The corporate media has become the enemy and America is waking up to the fact that they are as reputable as Pravda. Corporate media is going the way of the newspapers it's just a matter of time. |

Shella is such a hack. Why he likes to belittle common people who rally, and defend the giants who drain this city is beyond me. Maybe he's on the take.
You can't even call this a news report, because Shella didn't bother to focus on the substance. I guess it was just more fun for him to make fun of people. I can't wait for WISH-TV to fire the bum. |
|
I second your opinion. |

Jim Shella, you poor thing who somewhere lost your way.

Most of the thinking citizens of this state are angry with our corrupt governmental bodies, and want to take back the County, Statehouse, Congress, and the White House. The caring people who gave their time, energy, reputation, and money to educate the public today, and stand up for truth and freedom, should be applauded. They love their country and their children.

well I am very sad today to see this is what news has become and I want to tell my side since this reporter did not want to tell the news but just make fun of some volunteers that are trying to protect his rights as well as our own.
I was talking to a state rep at a rally we held down in our state house and we were having a great conversation about the rule of law and then I turned around back to my table as I saw someone there and there was a reporter standing there and all that happened is my mind went blank when he asked what CFL stood for since I was completely on a different track in my mind so I picked up so literature to get my brain working since I was on a completely different topic with State Rep Borders and could not find anything in the literature so my mind kind of came back and I said what I said without looking at anything. I asked him to please edit it as I don't usually sound so sloppy and he said he would and low and behold this is what you get. What is sad is we are just volunteers and to make fun of that is so low |

This is one of the WORST reporting slants I have ever viewed by our corporate media.
Jim Shella is a stooge for our corrupted representatives and wants no part of publicizing anything crooked that originates from our State House. |
|
|
I really liked the only Ogden quote, a partial sentence.
How absurd was this hack job? Shella is part of the problem, not the solution. |
|
|
Jim Shella could take pointers on serious journalistic standards from Indiana's regional newspapers
Here is fair and balanced reporting from Evansville Courier Journal: http://www.courierpress.com/news/2009/mar/25/... And more fair and balanced look at state issues from the Post Tribune: http://www.post-trib.com/news/elections/14961... Here is a political hit job by a paid hack: http://www.topix.net/forum/source/wish/TKSJ86... (published on Hoosiers for Fair Taxation) |

What a horrible heartless man to take advantage like that and evidently to go back on his word.
I reckon his bosses need to seriously review his contract! Keep up the good work Melissa and don't let one humbug like him detract from your dedication. That's something you have and he doesn't! |
|
Typical media 'editing'!!!
|
|
You definitely need to remember his reporting style and tell him to take a hike at the next event. |

Oh, and check this out.
http://advanceindiana.blogspot.com/2009/03/ha... One of the three practicing attorneys who spoke at the revot, Gary Welsh, published an account of Herb Simon sending a pack of influencers from Indy on a Cancun junket. They even gave the guests jewelry! (Welsh picked the story up from former Indy Star Journalist, Ruth Holloday's blog, which he linked). . Looks like folks from Channel 8 were on the guest list. . To connect the dots, Simon owns the Pacers and the Pacers want $15 million more every year from the taxpayers. The matter is being discussed now behind closed doors with state legislators. This was discussed in detail at the Revolt yesterday (and likely why Shella's smear piece was done). . I think you can understand why Shella had to do what he did. |
