Hmmmm, "charge" him? Don't think so! He hasn't "committed" a crime. You have to DO something to someone for there to BE a crime, right??? That note could be looked upon as INTENT to commit but they must PROVE it. Good Lawyer time!

beemom wrote: When my oldest son was in grade school, a bunch of kids who liked to pick on him were "bored" at lunch and decided to beat him up. They formed a circle around him, threw him to the ground repeatedly, kicked him, punched him, ect. The playground aides stood by watching. When my ex-husband and I arrived at school, we got the names of the boys from my son and gave them to the principle. The school did NOTHING! The same boys went after my other son the next day in retailiation. I ended up pulling my sons out of school for the rest of the year and homeschooled them. I wish the schools would go after the bullies and deal with them as harshly as the bullies "deal" with their victims. My son is now 26 and still has bad memories of that incident. By the way, he ended up with bruised kidneys, a sprained back, and blood in his stools for a week. Maybe looking back you've figured out what you did wrong that day. You were supposed to call the police to report an assault, then (if the "supervision" on the playground or whereever was lacking) you sue the government school.

This young man needs the help of a professional. Our youth need to be paid attention too more and more these days. Parents really need to be nosy, and intrusive.

If you ever wondered why people stand on the corner holding a sign for "HELP" and shelter and move from place to place without establishing roots in a community (as with transients)... it is because people have cast them aside.
O'kay, you might have to give this boy a time out away from that social setting, but he needs attention NOW! Help him.
Maybe he will grow to make a difference in the world instead of standing on a street corner somewhere waiting for a handout!
Get the kids on the list together and make them serve at a soup kitchen for one day. A little humble pie goes a long way.

Actually we did acomplish something, we ended up getting the principal fired. We got an absoluting wonderful principal to replace the inefective one. Also, 26 years ago you didn't call the police for a grade school playground incident. It wasn't taken as seriously as is it is now.

Why doesn't the school look at how this all happened? The kid said he was being called names and being made fun of.

I think the school board is doing the right thing with this situation, but I also believe that the students and teacher on this list should look at to see if there is any foundation for this young man to have ill feelings for them.

I went to that school corporation all my life, and I can assure you that the school is not going to do anything about it. They are about as careless as anything I have ever seen. The same exact thing happened two years ago and guess what they did? Absolutely nothing. They did the exact same thing they are doing now. Nothing.
