We inhale more lethal toxins from all the vehicles on the road, than any number of people could blow into the air from cigarettes by the way! People are funny, it makes me sit back, shake my head and laugh at how people become fixated on one thing and all the sudden that is the most terrible thing in the world! HA! Oh well, leave it up to the masses, go figure?! You have never heard or read where innocent people have died in a fire caused by a careless smoker?

Quite frankly, as a combat VETERAN, I find his continued use of the misspelling somewhat disrespectful. disrecpectful...do you have anything else to do than chase down someone that has a spelling error?!?!? get a life!

rose wrote: Today I stopped smoking, its been 2 hours. I cannot say I quit yet, so stopped is what I can say right now.I am 62 and have been smoking since 16. For the past 2 years my husband and I have been rolling our own. On Dec 22 he quit. He has will power. What is a shame is that we cannot sleep together because of my heavy breathing and wheezing. We have been married for 43 years. He said cold turkey is the way to go, I don't know yet. I probably have COPD, but I ignore that fact. The problem is I do enjoy smoking esp. with a miller lite. I am really going to give it my all. Wish me luck please. Thanks CONGRATS!!! I have been smoke free since aug 23 2010 and loving it!!!!!Just keep going you may need to change habits lioke mine were a cigerete after im done eating now i go out for a walk to pick up the phone and talk to someone.... i smoked for 17 yrs and i was up to 1 and 1/2 packs a day. Thanks Trucker and Lavender for your good wishes.I hope it does get easier. Right now I am kind of aggravated, because I am mainly doing this for everyone else. I know I should be thinking of myself, but I think when your time is up, it's up.I am retired now along with my husband and really pretty much bored, but have physical problems ,we both do. To make us both happy I guess I have to give it my all. It really kind of sucks though. Thanks for letting me rant and for reading this.

Once again, get out of our lives and mind your own business. Everyone is sick and tired of the do-gooders who know what is best for everyone else.

Walter Allentown wrote: Best solution: Manufacture and sale of cigarettes and tobacco products could be made ILLEGAL.. Alas, the special interests here are too large and powerful and lobby $$$$$$ into pockets. If we can get around the harm it would cause to and through the tens of millions of addicts abruptly forced to go cold turkey, perhaps this approach would be more reasonable and popular.
