Don Imus has apologized for the stupid comment, which has cost him two weeks suspension.
I DO NOT WANT Imus fired! The Imus in the Morning show is great!
Everyone should just move on.

Get the real culprits that put down black women, black men!!!
Don Imus has done more for the soldiers of this country than anyone else in the last 50 years!!! The government wouldn't even pay for the Intrepid Center for vets and Imus raised the money. Where were the black leaders for that?

There is no excuse for unprovoked name calling unless you are a racist, bully, or terrorist, of which Imus and his employers obviously fit the description of all three. Only a racist, bully, or terrorist would harm and hurt innocent people, especially African-American women who probably couldn't care less if he existed or not.

Where is the racial remark in the statement that Imus has said? Can you not also say that a white, asian, mexican, and so on are nappy headed ho's?? Yes what he said on the air is wrong and went way to far, But why does the black man always draw the racism card? This was not a racist comment, now all that Imus is doing is agreeing with everyone so that he can save a little face and keep his job! NOt a racist remark!!!

I am sick and tired of the black community oprating under a double standard. Anything that is said by a white person no matter how innocent is jumped on and used as a means to try to prove 'descrimination" but let a black person write and sing their songs about killing whites, jews policemen and their own hos. Nothing is said. I wonder what would have happend if the south had won our war of independance.

There is so much that can be said about all this but the bottom line is that it needs to stop already...the man apologized more than once, is suspended from his job for 2 weeks..why are people so bent on getting the man fired? I was always taught that names don't hurt you...so get over it already and move on to more important news before this gets any more out of control and starts racial problems everywhere...if it hasn't already....and these men that are supposed to be Reverends, well have you never heard of forgive and forget?

For the Rutgers ladies: Just act like ladies and pass it by. Life will present much more in the way of rude commentary and more.
For Imus: He apologized and he too needs to move past it, wizer for his mistake.
You can;t even tell a good "polish" joke anymore.

"whaaaa...mom, he called be a bad name...whaaaa"!! Pull your sucker out of the dirt, wash it off and carry on. There's worse things in the world and making such a fuss about it just continutes to perpetuate the "racism" drama. I didn't realize "name calling" was terrorism...??

It was something stupid that he did; he has apologized so let it go! Why don't Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton keep their nose out of it! Where was Big Al and Jesse Jackson when those black trash carjacked & killed that UT student and her boyfriend. I never saw them in Knoxville protesting.

I believe Imus has shown the world that what he said was inappropriate. What do you people want? Sounds as though forgiveness is not in any one's hearts these days. All these so called Christian people slinging mud instead of accepting his words of apology and forgiving him for a bad mistake and get on with their lives. No one is perfect here, Sharpton and Jackson included.

If we stoop to finger pointing every time a supposed racial slur is mouthed, then our fingers will fall off from lack of blood!!! I agree, he could have more thoughtfully chosen his words, but if we stop Imus from saying these words, then we all have got a lot of work to do!! First, lets start with the famous recording labels who make millions on rap songs that have much worse racial slurs in them, and to put it lightly, they are sung by Black artists!!! It is almost like they can call themselves those bad names but nobody else can!! The Freedom of Speech guarantees us the right to speak our minds, as does it give the Rappers the right to demean their own race in songs, and black comedians the right to run down their own race. Jesse Jackson has no right to finger point either, being he fathered a love child and supported it with Rainbow Push Coalition money! Farakhan also said that all whites should be killed too, but you do not see me demanding apologies for all of that!! We ALL need to quit ripping the scab off of the racial tension as it tries to heal itself. And as far as Don Imus is concerned, did you ever see a more nappy headed fellow than him! He needs to do something about his own head before he pokes fun at someone elses!!!!!!

How embarrasing to have the whole country know that being called a name hurts so much that I had to go on national TV and complain about it. Those girls are going to have to toughen up if they are going to go off campus and into the real world.

The whole media fiasco that Rutgers University put on is a disgrace. The womens head coach of Rutgers is an idiot! She mentioned the fact that she could not be a cheerleader as a teenager because she was black. What in the H--- does that have to do with the Imus thing. These girls were used by Rutgers as pawns to draw sympathy and possibly money to the university. What a disgrace!! If the girls are so proud to be black, why do they straighten their hair to look white?
