"Most of these ignorant, financially irresponsible, sub-prime borrower".
just cut a part of the line and want to point out this. a system to establish a reasonable amount to be used for housing set, at one time, 25% maximum could be spent for a home and the rest was meeded for other things needed for a normal life. food, something to ware, insurance, car etc. the real bad guy, not victum, is the lender. plain and simple. the lenders laid out how to get into a house through many different schemes to qualify which if one income provider got sick for a period of time or a layoff hit, with a large bank account, people soon found out there was too much month left after the money was gone. now the lender is crying we are loosing billions. no, just go back to the original loan percentage and take the 30 or more years to get paid. most people were able to make those payments. no federal bailout needed. the lender is forced to not get the inflated windfall profits through blown up interest rates. did they learn anything? no, i still get emails almost every day "no s.s needed, get 435,000 for 900 per month" and many more simuler. were the borrowers rresponsible? no more then the lender, the real problem. snake oil sellers. like people on juries, they are in some cases sold a line and are sold a bill of goods on a fairy tale. ask over 200 men in prision for years found to be proven not guilty by dna and other sources. juries are great at being told the person is guilty and really do not really look close at evidence or even know what real facts are. one attorney years ago said. there is two truths, one "proved" in court and the truth of what really happened."

Sure! They can keep their homes if they are responsible. If a Democrat gets in the White House, It'll be a lot more difficult though. Taxes will triple or quadruple. I don't know why anyone with any sense would pay attention to what the media says anyway. The media lies and distorts about almost everything, and then won't cover the really important issues that do matter more. Between the media and the democrats, Romney got the shaft. It was a concerted effort to kill Romney's campaign. People should be asking: WHY!

Mc Cain is a huge mistake. Mc Cain has poked his finger into conservatives eye sockets for years and ponied up to the Democrats. Romney was the right choice for fixing the economy and keeping to conservative values. We'll see now if Romney is up to the fight, even if he has to register as an independent to stay in the race. With an economy and U.S. dollar in a downslide and investors losing faith in the stock market, we'll see if Washington gets their heads out of the dark place by doing things right for a change.

I see dark days ahead.

civ, it appears to me that mccain is just a democrat in republican clothes. and yes mitt is the right choice for a number of reasons. he has no buddy buddy pals in congress, has a lot of real world business savy, when asked about him being able to lead the military, i would have answered different. fact are, the generals are best left to run the military, they just need marching orders such as, go into (country a) do what is necessary to win and secure the country, set up a control center and when done, request support from political sources to establish a tempory government to establish control over civilians. when the temp government has been setup, start bringing in people from the country to begin a turnover to them and assist through military efforts to both their military and police forces to allow that country to return to running them selves much as was done at the end of WWII. with what is running mitt is the most logical and best choice to solve the problems we have here. the bigest problem is washington wants control of both the house, the senate and the whitehouse. hillary, obama, mccain are all talking almost the same lines. we have under the blessings of congress let business to move lock stock and barrel to other counteries loosing thousands of jobs here, allowed our technoligies to be given away and fails to wake up to the fact our country is just plain being given away. i see our country being changed to another country. press 1 for english just plain means spanish is consered the first language and english the second. teachers are being pressured to learn to speak spanish so to be able to teach the illegals here in their native language. mexifornia here we come. it will become a part of mexico withour them firing a shot because our government is allowing a take over of an un armed invasion. at the rallies last year in reno, they wave their flag not ours. i was there. i saw it. unless congress and each state wakes up, our country is the near future will be no more.

WE THE PEOPLE. This is why our founding fathers gave us a constitution and bill of rights. The people hold the power, not the elites. Our founding fathers knew, first hand, exactly what a tyrannical government is. They went to war against that government. And won.

When the federal government usurps the will of the people, it is up to the people to take back their country; if necessary, by force. That is a major reason for the Second Amendment to the Constitution which, to those people that don't have the proper education is the right of ALL American citizens to own firearms, as long as they fall under the category of "law-abiding citizens". Convicted felons don't have that right, which is the way it ought to be. People that are not educated enough to understand what their rights are, and can't tell which politicians are out to take away their rights --- should not be allowed to vote.

I don't believe the majority of the people have the testacular gumption to "take back our country"!! As far as I'm concerned, the elites have gone too far long, long ago. They are not working for "We the people". "We the people" are running out of time. They believe THEY are the only ones that matter; not us everyday citizens. Many people in this country are ready for war against Washington. Some use the word: "Revolution" but it still means War.

The people have been standing idly by for years now as Washington has been slowly chipping away at our rights. Hillary and Obama fully intend to take big huge chunks out of our rights if either of them get elected. If that should happen and if we allow it, we will then be a "Ruled nation" instead of a governed nation.

I agree with you Joseph, lots of hard working people had the opportunity to get their foot in the door and buy a home of their own. That’s great. The thing that really troubles me is the way bankers in this country took these risky loans, bundled them into financial packages and pawned them off all around the world. These bad investments have caused a world wide financial crisis and soiled America’s reputation around the globe. I’d like to see some of the bankers do jail time for what they’ve done.
