This is a push poll plan and simple. You have two negative answers bracketing one positive answer.

Well, I wish her the best of luck, and hope she can do the job right and gain the experience she needs for this job. You have to give her a chance at least.

Have you been reading the posts of those young people? They can't spell, they can't think or write critically, and their ideas are simplistic.
Yeah, they are all products of the Dixon High School!Maybe Ms Coppes is little bit smarter than that but at Dixon High School even smart kids do not get the education they need. One strike against Ms Coppes.

Ms. Coppes to be an excellent selection, especially given the alternative choices. I wholeheartedly support Victoria. I think bringing a young, bright, energetic representative of a voting block of citizens heretofore uninvolved is fantastic. I for one am tired of the same old people in the audience at meetings who think they run the town. For example, the nonstop musical questions from you, Mr. Ceremello and Mrs. Dingman, the other night at the mayor's forum were embarrassing. I think this may be a brilliant way to get the young people involved in and excited about the politics of their community as Dixon goes forward.(I am speaking of those that vote, and continue to live here beyond graduation, and not those that attend for Civics credit, oh great one.) As for learning from you, Mike, I don't think so; even Victoria at age 18 is wiser in years than many of us who are old enough to be her grandmother or grandfather.

Tori beware of the dark side. If you are reading these blogs. Don't be drawn in. The negative ones have lost there way and maybe even their souls. The rage and hate just boils out them.
It's sad they don't even know the darkness has totally consumed them.

How would you know? I seriously doubt you would know a misspelled word if one bit you in the posterior.

Ever heard of "haste makes waste"? Think that was one of Ben's aphorisms (get a dictionary). For your generation translated "Speed kills".

Funny how you managed to attend this meeting an ignore the fact that there were two rows plus of these "young people" who we want to see "involved and excited about the politics of their community" and not one of them got up to ask a question.

I can't speak for Ms. Dingman, but I know the format of these Chamber candidate forums and I stepped forward to ask questions to fill in a half hours worth of time that it was supposed to run. You try to make something successful by taking positive action and you get criticized for it. Go figure.

Please cast your votes for one of the other candidates. I am not looking for uninformed or ignorant votes that have guaranteed the doom of Dixon over the last twelve years.

There are plenty of intelligent people in Dixon. I run into them all the time. Their votes will be enough...

Facts are facts, Jack... or should I say Mikie S. The only dark side is the one represented by the status quo in Dixon. What have you given us?

You wanted a Sodom and Gomorrah racetrack, put a church through hell to locate in the old downtown, spent millions of dollars building a train station you rent out at a buck a month, and even more beautifying a downtown you have no clue how to revitalize. On top of that, you have a sick man who is the mayor's husband (lame ducks of a feather, flock together) attempting to get the one decent and civil councilman we had kicked out of town early.

I think we all know who the dark side is. You see it every day when you look in your mirror.

Are you in fact Mr. Ceremello, the candidate for City Council?
Not calling you out, as my identity is no less clear than yours, am just curious.
Unlike the flatulent Max, I am not afraid to identify myself. When you see it in green, it indicates that I have indeed logged in and it is not some flattering mimicry.

Hope that helps you out...

I just learned....
You can vote every 2-3 hours on any Topic in the Reporter's forum. No wonder the "Good Idea" is getting 75 votes. The Mayor and her two cohorts on the council must go in and vote every two hours to show support for their stupid idea.
You can fool some of the people some of the time. LOL

Gees, what took you so long to figure the voting out. Poll manipulation has been going on forever. These polls are a joke and not even a secret. How would you like to buy a bridge to nowhere?

In case you don't believe me, here is a poll that was manipulated. There is no way Rick Fuller got that many votes without manipulation. I promise.

Hey, Charlie. Do you really promise there wasn't a manipulation on Rick Fuller? I seem to recall an earlier poll with Fuller, manipulated by a guy named "Charlie".

Oh no, not you Charlie! Are you the one who is voting every two hours?? The only one fooled was Rick Fuller. He probably thought that he had all that support.
