Marijuana good for the county
I would like to thank the editor for publishing a letter about the marijuana issue in the county that makes sense.

Working a little harder than me to pay their mortgage?! You mean growing dope and blowing that nasty scent into my backyard with a fan while my wife has the daycare children playing outside? You are high. I am a west side citizen who worry's constantly that a stray bullet from a grow snatch gone wrong next door will kill someone in my family or one of the children my wife watches. I will call the cops every time they set up shop and they shut it down. These people are drug dealers, nothing less. YOu want to grow a plant or two outside in the yard next door, be my guest. But don't blast your farm or your indoor operation into my space, thugs, or I will call my friends at task force and have them shut you down. Wnat to make more money to pay your mortgage? Start a daycare, or get a job.

Dear William Cannon,
When your high wears off, take a look at the difference between Mendocino County pre-measure G and Mendocino County post-measure G. Yeah it's a real a good thing when a "Dr." with a mowhawk prescribes marijuan to a 13 year old for headaches.... If you listen closely, you can hear the huge toilet flushing Mendocino County down the shi%$er. |

Marijuan(a) typo.

Exactly where people go wrong. "Making a little extra money"???? That is illegal no matter how you try to read the law.
Both the Compassionate Use Act and Measure G make it illegal to profit off Marijuana. Besides, if you are truly "compassionate" you should not be profiting off someone's ills. |
|
|
It is Illegal to make money from Marijuana - PERIOD
|

William Cannon,
dude, what is wrong with you? You should GO TO JAIL for growing pot to pay your mortgage! I work my **** OFF LEGALLY to pay mine. Just goes to show that the people that "need" pot for their backache also "need" to sell it to our children to pay their bills! YOU ARE EXACTLY THE REASON WHY MEASURE G HAS BEEN A DISASTER FOR OUR COMMUNITY! SHAME ON YOU! YOU ARE A CRIMINAL! |
|

Quoted from REality Check: "Besides, if you are truly "compassionate" you should not be profiting off someone's ills. "
Wow, sounds like the Pharmaceutical corp. might not really be compassionate or care about you; when they are ok'ing drugs that kill and bring about nastier side effects than the original condition. Truly compassionate, interesting idea, do you donate money to help sick people or anything of the like?? |
|
Exactly...if you want to equate med. MJ with pharmaceutical companies that's fine with me. Not a lot of them are all that popular, huh? Only real difference is that they're profits are legal...go figure. I'm not saying they should donate anything (although yes, I do donate money and time as well as working public service and prior service to the nation), the law is flexible enough that it allows a grower to recoup costs, so they can break even. It does not allow for profits, in fact expressly prohibits it. Profiting is where the "compassionate" part of the law has been exploited. |

LEGALIZE IT,
AND I WILL ADVERTISE IT! |

NO, ITS PEOPLE WHINING LIKE YOU WHO HAVE RUINED IT FOR EVERY ONE ELSE! GO CRY TO YOUR MOMMY BAABY! |

YES ON "B"
ITS NOT ABOUT CANCER OR GLAUCOMA OR ILLNESS..... IDIOTS! If you are under the assumption that ONLY Cancer patients are smoking 'Medical Marijuana" then you are the biggest fool in town. If you think that 1% of the dopers whining to get "B" stopped are cancer patients, you are a dolt! For every 3000, 4000, or maybe even 5000 dope-smoking, street bums that smoke dope, you might find 2 or 3 cancer patients. For every 3000, 4000, or maybe even 5000 dope-smoking, street bums that smoke dope, you might find 10-15 with Glaucoma. For every 3000, 4000, or maybe even 5000 dope-smoking, street bums that smoke dope, you might find 100 that are really sick from ANYTHING, other than mental anguish that their little plan to make Mendocino a dope-free zone is failing. You **** no-bees are very reminiscent of the fool Bush, and his Fear Mongering. No one is trying to show non-compassion for people that are sick. On the other hand, you no-bees ARE saying, like you pal Bush, that you are not evil, and anyone who has an opinion of their own is an 'evildoer.' The whole truth is that while there are continuing studies that show extracts from marijuana might actually have properties that slightly reduce pain in some patients, there has NEVER been an accredited study that shows that S M O K I N G Marijuana is a reasonable trade off. Smoking ANYTHING hurts humans, as well as lab rats (like you!) And as long as the argument is for "Let us SMOKE Marijuana" the answer will be the same~~~ NOT IN THIS FEKKIN LIFETIME! YES ON "B"....CONTROL THESE LAZY-AZZED STREET FREAKS and OUT OF TOWNER THUGS! |

whats the name of the QUACK WITH THE MOHAWK? PLEASE POST IT, SO WE CAN REPORT HIM... |

But it doesn't seem to in real-life, as much as you'd like to think so (and that's throwing a **** wrench into the 'smoking' of tobacco, actually, since, of course, pot SHOULD be causing cancer at alarmingly increased rates, IF we had a clue what caused cancer, but we don't, and it doesn't). In fact, cannabis actually cures some cancers (particularly the kind that Ted Kennedy has). The Spanish study is six years old now. In my case, as I've pointed out here in the forum, I'm using it for arthritis. It's curing the arthritis, just like the Sativex extract product did for patients in England and Canada. It relieves the pain, but that's because the stuff that's causing it is GOING AWAY. If you don't want to smoke it, you can just vaporize it (you have to use more, but there are zero byproducts of combustion with a vaporizer). The best (BEST) model (I tried a bunch up in Canada) is the Volcano. http://www.thevolcanovaporizer.com Or you can eat it, of course (tasty brownies over at Reflections of Avalon). When I ran a TV show back in Albuquerque, we had a curandera on who showed us some of her grandma's 400 year old 'family recipe' for arthritis liniment (lard with pot cooked into it). It's a Spanish tradition, yano. Or you could cook up some Holy Chrism according to the Bible recipe in Exodus 30:22. It smells wonderful with the cinnamon, cardamon and myrrh. It still would cure you just the same. If your translation is the mistranslated version that says 'calamus' instead of 'fragrant cane' you substitute there. |
Right, but seven is worthy of a felony? |

MEASURE B IS ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
ROSS LIBERTY AND HIS BAND OF POLITICAL NAZI'S HAVE DONE IS CREATE A HUGE LAWSUIT BURDEN FOR THE COUNTY WAY TO GO REPUBLICAN FASCISTS!!! CHEW ON THIS: The state’s medical marijuana guidelines were ruled unconstitutional by California’s Court of Appeal May 22, 2008– a decision that makes most limits, including those in Measure B unenforceable. The decision, People v. Kelly, specifically struck down the same section of law cited in Measure B – Health and Safety Code Section 11362.77 – which sets default limits of six plants and eight ounces per patient. In effect, therefore, Mendocino County citizens are being asked to vote on a proposal that, if approved, would be illegal. The new decision is certain to spark a challenge to Measure B if it passes, clogging the courts and burdening local taxpayers, according to attorneys. “At this point, passing Measure B would create more problems than it would solve,” said attorney Myron Sawicki, who specialized in marijuana-related prosecutions with the Mendocino County District Attorney’s office for 23 years. Sawicki is the recipient of several awards in excellence for marijuana prosecution from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and the Campaign Against Marijuana Production (CAMP). “Since there are no state guidelines anymore, why pass Measure B? It’s a waste of public funds,” Sawicki said.“Why spend the money? Even if this passes, it will result in spin-off litigation.” The California Appellate Court (Second District) ruled Thursday that state legislators overstepped their bounds in 2003 by limiting the amount of medical marijuana that patients could possess to six plants and eight ounces. The unanimous opinion in the Los Angeles court said legislators acted unconstitutionally when they passed a statute (known as SB 420) that effectively amended Proposition 215 -- also known as the Compassionate Use Act of 1996 (CUA). "The CUA can only be amended with voters’ approval. Voters, however, did not approve the eight-ounce limit and other caps… hence the section (11362.77) unconstitutionally amends the CUA,” wrote Justice Richard Aldrich in Thursday’s opinion. Text of the Kelly decision is available at: http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/opinions/document ... Measure B has the same problem since it is based on the same six plant, and eight ounce limits, which were struck down by the Appeals Court.“As of today there are no state standards,” Sawicki said.“Everyone needs to go back to the drawing boards because if approved, Measure B will just add to the chaos and confusion.”. The Court’s decision means it will now be up to courts and juries to figure out how much marijuana medicine each patients needs, not legislators in Sacramento or voters in Mendocino County, according to Susan B. Jordan, a local criminal defense attorney and nationally renowned legal expert. “If it passes, the part of Measure B that asks voters to set a limit on the number of plants for Mendocino County patients or caregivers, is an illegal effort to put medical marijuana in the hands of the “politicians (who are asking for the support of the voters) and not in the hands of judges where it belongs,” Jordan said. “Unfortunately, Measure B will not be a way out for what we all agree is a big problem,” she said.“And now it turns out it will be thrown out by the Courts if it passes.” |

Yes. Damn straight. Lock the stoners up and throw away the key. Hey, where does a guy get laid around here, anyway? |
|
You are again incorrect it is perfectly legal to sell medical cannabis for cost of production + reasonable compensation for time and effort...ie a wage. Learn the law before you spout off! |
|
Report him for what? There is nothing at all illegal about having a Mohawk or recommending cannabis to someone under 18 with parental consent. Again learn the law. |
