The mere act of putting Measure B on the ballot changed the dynamics and inspired law enforcement to take a more active approach to eradicating commercial grows.

The passage of Measure B has further changed the dynamics by which we operate. A majority of the public, the District Attorney, the Sheriff and nearly everyone else in law enforcement supported Measure B as a tool to go after commercial growers. Law enforcement is aggressively following through.

This growing season will be a period of transition as growers adjust to the new dynamic. If law enforcement is able to keep up the current level of activity then even the most obstinant commercial growers will become aware that their has been a shift and that the odds of being busted have increased dramatically.

The result will be that next year there will be fewer commercial growers planting fewer plants. It will probably take about two years of concerted effort to see the full benefit of Measure B.

PS: Sorry to break the news to you, but Measure G is clearly unconstitutional and only the judge will be voting on it. He will vote "NO," so don't look for it on the ballot, now or ever.

Whether they listen or not, as the amount of commercial growing decreases, law enforcement will be better able to direct resources to those that remain. With clear support* from the public we can also expect enhanced coordination between law enforcement, state parks, national forests, private landowners and others who are impacted.

*And even No on B claimed they were against the large trespass grows, so we should have 90% or more public support to go after them, right?

Careful, you don't want to expose the hypocrisy, Yes they did state they were against commercial grows but as usual from the left

Your little plan has one big flaw...greed. As law enforcement cracks down, the prices will be driven up. Simple economics. The inflated price will make the lure of quick cash too hard to resist and the cycyle continues. Of course if the MCSO eradicated MJ all together, they would be out of some jobs. There is no money in the cure, only in the treatment.

Greed is what has got us to where we are today. And the price is not set by local production. That is why we could not produce enough marijuana in Mendocino County to crash the price nationally.

No one dreams that all marijuana cultivation will be eradicated, but as long as law enforcement knows they have public support, they can work to bring it back into balance. People have grown marijuana in Mendocino County for over forty years, but it wasn't so completely out of control before Measure G.

Jealousy is what has gotten us to where we are today. Granted, there are some growers that are truly out of control. Others, however, hold down regular jobs and are tired of being lumped into the same category. We, too, pay into the system, and volunteer for a variety of worthwhile causes, including helping to build a new snack shack at a local school, teaching local classes, supporting the Shoreline Riders rodeo, just to name a few. There are the intolerant among us that just cannot stand when hard work pays off. If I am working fulltime, paying taxes, volunteering my time and helping to support local causes and soup kitchens, who the h*ll are any of you to criticize me? I think it's time to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Get real. We in Mendocino should abide by California state laws just like the millions of others who live in the state.

We simply don't need a special set of laws for growing pot in Mendocino County.

Hey, did you ever stop to think that MCC 9.31 conflicts with SB 420?

SB 420 states a patient can have what is reasonable amount related to their condition.(state law)

MCC 9.31 makes patients only allowed to cultivate no more than 25 plants per parcel.

This would mean that anyone with a doctor who recommends a greater amount would be denied their recommended amount of medicine.

The "mexican cartel" is a myth. It is a bunch of old hippies hiring undocumented, just like up in Island Mountain. And the mexicans don't care, but the old hippies don't like sitting in jail thinking about how the feds have all their guns, pot and money. And how their land is going to be forfeited. The smart ones will get out before they get busted. I think they are all listening now.

That is why we got rid of g and voted in the state limits. But some people don't like limits. That is why they want to bring back g, so they can grow as much as they want and tell the cops to stick it.

But, quite LEGAL under California law. The voters of California made their opinion very clear when they approved prop 215.

"Medical Cannabis" has many uses and does not cause stupidity or dumbness.

CAMP SUCKS THE BIG ONE!!!!

Excellent point!
I'm pretty familiar with SB420 but obviously not as up-to-date on the subject as you.
Thanks for your helpful comment.

LMAO, but an explanatory note might be in order here - if the number to count exceeds 10 the DEAth wishers would have to take off their jackboots so they can count including their toes ;-)
