Thanks for the Jim Jones story: I enjoyed reading it. My son's were 3 years and 3 months old at the time the Jones party passed away. I had alot of friends that had gone with Jim Jones. Old news is old news but its also history too. Sure makes one wonder if their are others out there doing the same thing that Jim Jones was doing now.

They should try and clean up the contamination at the Remco Site in Willits. The contamination at the Ukiah Masonite plant (pcb's from spilled electrical transformers)

Allow such an abundance, that the price drops even further, after 215 the price dropped in half in CA.
That means if the entire state had a limit of say 25 2lbs for medical purposes, the price would be maybe close to a grand. This would knock any incentive to grow using diesel or indoors for profit due to the lack of return on their investments in power.

Take the cash away by raising the supply, thats the key. Criminals looking to cash in quickly will need another exploit.

Look at it this way, you see, if RJ Reynolds were suddenly prohibited fron producing tobacco, the value of a pack of cigarettes would easily go up every day, the last packs of cigarettes could sale for who knows how much. Look at the value of cigarettes in jails and prisons for example.

Soon many many people would get hip to the value of the tobacco and would begin tobacco cultivation.
If everyone grew there own tobacco at this point the price would dissappear for the tobacco, since it would be plentiful.
If a "Tobacco Eradication" effort was launched, it would not matter to the smokers, they would pay what ever was necessary to buy there tobacco, this "tobacco prohibition" would create a black market.
The amount of smokers will not be reduced by eradication, yet the eradication creates the Inflated Value , the infklated value creates the violent crime and other associated crimes.

Legalize it, create the supplies, let the price fall out. The black market would disappear

Also, we work on supporting victims of police brutality & people caught in
the criminal (in)justice system.

COPWATCH INVITES YOUR STORIES so we can support individuals- & their
families- who have been brutalized/harassed/murdered by police, keep a
public history/log of specific abusive cop activity, and spread truth
regarding harmful incidents& trends.

We seek to Create Support Networks of community options (that don't
involve the state) for people when: they believe they're in danger; need
emotional or mental health support; are being harassed; have problems in
their neighborhoods; have fear due to their immigration status... We
believe that building community and neighborhood relationships is
essential to protect each other from police violence. Community building
will go a long way toward ending other violence in our lives.

As early as February of 1965, the Temple's advance team had
initiated negotiations to purchase the Evangelical Free
Church on the corner of Bush and Henry streets in Ukiah.
Jones would hold services in the building until November of
1965 when he withdrew his offer to purchase what was the
only available church in town. The Temple reportedly broke
off negotiations when their Indiana corporations lost their
licenses because they failed to file the required annual
reports. Actually, they had formed a new corporation, "The
Peoples Temple of the Disciples of Christ of Redwood Valley"
that could have easily purchased the church. The stated
purpose of the new corporation, chartered on November 26,
1965, was to "further the word of God" but apparently not at
the Evangelical Free Church building. Jones abandoned his
first California headquarters after occupying it for five
months, presumably rent-free.

Jones next acquired the free use of a classroom at the
Ridgewood Range, a religious colony located about ten miles
north of Ukiah. The Peoples Temple met in that classroom for
about two years until late 1967 when the Christ's Church of
the Golden Rule, who owned the building, ordered the Temple
off their property, reportedly fearing that Jones was trying
to take over their church. The Temple then met in a 4-H
exhibition barn at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds until
early 1968 when Jones moved the services to the house he had
purchased for his family in Redwood Valley, a remote village
about seven miles outside Ukiah. The group first met in
Jones' two-car garage under conditions so crowded as to
discourage outsiders from dropping in on Temple services.
Ukiah is primarily middle-class conservative Caucasians.

This is the absolute truth!! Hey! You bring to the table ,the stories these people want to keep under wraps. I think it is very important for the citizens to remain educated and to know the truth of what is really out there. They are Narking out their neighbors while the youth are still being ripped to shreds by the meth and by the very people who are supposed to protect them. Ever want to see a perfect example of rank government propaganda? Watch this public relations stunt filmed by CNN of moralist-masquerading-as-drug czar John Walters making a flaccid attempt at being funny, and relevant. The video immediately goes into a 2:30 story about outdoor cannabis in California that largely parrots the government’s party line.
Some thoughts after watching the videos:
-John Walters, the self-described anti-1960s warrior (well, in the video he apparently has moved onto hating the ‘values’ of the 1970s), lumbers up a hillside for a highly staged public relations stunt and the best message he can stammer out is to try to shame ‘Hollywood’(a favorite target of rightwing moralists) into ‘helping us spread the word against cannabis’(this is the very same rhetoric Reagan and to a degree Bush 1.0 employed to incite emotional contagion in the media against ‘drugs’ in the halcyon ‘just say no’ days).
