Nice. I read it. Guess that answers Reality Checker's assertion that drugs have yet to cause one fatality on the road.

Yep and we were all wrong about that whole meth/marijuana connection, apparently it's cocaine/marijuana so much apologies to any meth heads I may have maligned.

It is both. Many of the mid-size to large growers partake in cocaine. Like back in the 70s, it is a status thing. The lower income lot goes for the meth... cheaper. The same pot->meth->cash triangle trade went on back in the 70s with cocaine. You aren't wrong. It still applies.

You? Facetious?? HA!
I commented to the pressdemocrat page. Sure hope the Feds begin to take notice of the crap up here, and decide to step in. Bring the drugs under control, and the violent crimes will plummet. I can't believe the violence up here. COmpletely out of control. Christ, on another thread a few minutes ago, someone threatened civil war if pot production is screwed with.

Hey Uncle Sam! Come on in. We got a nice airstrip. Good hotels in Santa Rosa. Some nice B&Bs on the coast. I'll make coffee!

What do you mean by this! Yes it does! I live where there are many others on the parcel and I live in pain all the time. Who will grow for me? I was told by my doctor I would never be able to do the things I did before I came disabled. I turned to MM over 5 years ago instead of being on 7 differant kinds of pills (takin them I did not know my name). With MM I can live a half of a normal life. Before B I found someone who grew for at lease 15 people. Not for money but because she cared! You guys don't undrstand..Some are gardens for people like me! I smoke, eat, vap and use oils. I need about 25 pounds a year JUST to live a normal life. You need to have mother plants and babies to keep it going... Who gives you the right to tell me I can't have my meds. NO ONE but my doctor! I pray you never get as bad as some of the people I have met through MM. You get 1 to 3 ponds per plant and like I said I need 25 pounds a year. Does that mean the person who grew for all of us is a big timer. Grow up! and get a life... Unless you have been there SHUT UP!

I never stated drugs have not caused accidents or accidents that lead to fatality. What I DID say was that noone has ever ingested an amount of cannabis to cause a lethal overdose.

You can die from drinking too much booze in a short amount of time, that is one issue.

You can drink too much and get behind the wheel and kill someone while driving, this is another issue.

You cannot die from smoking too much pot in a short amount of time. One issue.

You can smoke too much, become impaired, get behind the wheel and kill someone while driving. Separate issue than fatal overdose amounts.

What thread do YOU want to talk in. I understand, you wish to drive this all over... because it serves your purpose. Get out as much disinformation as possible, right? Sure it does. Yet, for us... you are tedious. Pick one, or screw off. I will be just as happy to NOT talk to you, but rather post my opinion of your stupid pro-dope-to-children nonsense. your choice.

Schools drug problems highlighted
BBC 20040311

Half said they were offered drugs

Almost half of 15 year olds in Britain who have been offered drugs claim it happened at school, a poll says.
About a quarter of children who took part in a survey for the teen magazine Bliss said they had taken drugs.
Among the 14 and 15 year olds who took part, 44% said they had been offered drugs.
Of those, 46% claim offers took place at school, 45% at a friend's house and 39% on the street.
The survey of 5,000 children aged between 12 and 18 was carried out through a questionnaire in the magazine and online.
It found 62% of those questioned said they had been drunk, and 24% said they had had sex by the age of 15.
However, 40% of those who had sex regretted it afterwards, with the top reason being because they thought they were "too young" or "not ready".
Support for ID cards
Among the 15 year olds, eight out of 10 said the prospect of tuition fees going up would put them off going to university.
Asked about other subjects, 84%, thought the sentencing of criminals was "too soft", 79% were in favour of sending bogus asylum seekers back to the country they came from, and 78% backed the idea of identity cards.
Nearly nine out of 10 were opposed to the UK joining the euro.
On the question of Iraq, 76% said Britain was wrong to go to war and 82% "didn't trust" Tony Blair.
Helen Johnston, editor of Bliss, said: "Young people have passionate beliefs about the society they want to live in and it's not the one they've got.
"They want a society they can trust, one that cares about their welfare and can bring about the higher standards they demand."

Kids turn in alleged pot-selling ice cream truck driver
MISSION, Texas / AP 20070525

Police say the jingle of this ice cream truck meant pot-sicles.
Police say elementary school students tipped them off to an ice cream truck driver who was apparently selling $5 and $10 bags of marijuana from the truck. Most customers were in the third, fourth, and fifth grades.
"It's a scary thought, but that's the info we received," Mission police Chief Leo Longoria said.
Raymundo Flores, a 40-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana. He was transported to Hidalgo County jail after a judge set bond at $30,000. His case will likely be turned over to federal immigration officials, Assistant Police Chief Robert Dominguez said.
While police didn't witness any sales, a drug sniffing dog did help them find packets of marijuana alongside the more traditional frozen treats.
News video showed the driver may have been doing some subtle advertising. While the outside of the truck was festooned with pictures of ice cream, pendants in the shape of marijuana leaves dangled inside the truck.

School Gets Mysterious 12 pound Marijuana Package
Kent, N.Y / AP 20070518

A school principal received a surprise delivery of 12 pounds of marijuana from a mysterious sender whose address was traced to a vacant lot in California, police said.

The package was addressed to Joan "Pinserton," a misspelling of the principal's name, Pinkerton. It was delivered Thursday to the Kent Primary School by Federal Express. Pinkerton was immediately suspicious because of a strong odor from the box.

The principal had the box moved to the rear of the school property and an X-ray taken by the bomb squad determined the package wasn't a threat, police Lt. Alex DiVernieri said. Police opened it and found the marijuana, he said.

The return label contained a woman's name and a Gardena, Calif., address but police there said the address turned out to be a vacant lot, and the woman did not exist.

In pain all the time even after smoking 25 pounds of weed, um maybe it isn't working. Maybe you should consult a pain specialist and try other options.
