Marijuana Meth Connection

Most meth these days is not produced locally. It is imported from Mexico and some from Canada. Most from Mexico. Mendocino are now merely consumers and retailers of it. It flows here in such large quantities because of the amount of POT MONEY that draws it here. Also, the distribution networks for pot are long established, and viable for the meth trade to use as well.

As long as pot profits draw it in, it will be here in large quantity.

However, people who cook and deal meth have more in common with dope dealers and dope growers than they do with dog catchers. Same industry. Same goal. Same intoxicating type substances. Same militant protection of what is theirs.

In fact, meth people are probably LESS innocuous than many DOPE GROWERS. Meth people huddle in homes and apartments. They don't march around with weapons guarding crops and threatening neighbors.

The connection is that meth lab profits sometimes fund purhcase of land for marijuana production and vice versa. The other connection is that many hard core meth addicts are growers/dealers because it is all about the money. The so-called anti-meth growers do nothing to police their ranks to discourage the tweekers. The code of silence prevents calls to police for meth, assault, rape, domestic violence and even murder. Better to keep silent than be a snitch. That is the dope grower code of honor.

Maybe you have not personally witnessed a direct connection between meth labs and marijuana but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have seen it, lived next door to some growers and surprise surprise a bunch of haz mat guys in their space suits were clearing out drums and gave us the heads up that we might not want to drink out of the creek for a while. This was years ago (maybe almost 20) then later that summer some growers that were up for a week stressing (tweeking) started shooting each other and that's when we moved out of that area closer to town.

I no longer live in Ukiah. I moved there in 1968 and moved out in 1992. In the 24 years I lived there I saw a wonderful, beautiful little village turn into a drug users paradise. Things weren't going to change so I did the best thing I could. I moved. I now live in a drug free community with little crime. I have seen first hand what the drug users and growers have done to your community and my own family. It just doesn't matter how you raise your children any longer because you can't be with them when they choose their peers. I have seen the best kids come from the worst families and the worst kids come from the best families. How can you raise your kids to choose the right friends and to stay within the law when you have druggers in the DA's office, in local politics and teachers in the schools. Wake up Ukiah and take back your community! What in hell is wrong with you?

Some of us are trying. Those who aren't making dope money, that is. Glad to hear you are in a better place with lower crime. Communities can be nice places to live!

And for a lot of the younger growers meth seems to be the drug of choice. At least for party hearty time. I know of one young grower who was tweaking and upset over a breakup and shot himself. No one wants to call them on their out of control behaviour because the black market feeds an anything goes attitude.

The new law bans smoking. Period. Pot, meth, cigs, same-same. No smoke in the park, mon. And the growers are fast finding they can't grow in town either. The cops are busting several grow houses a month. They have a stack of suspects and they are just going through the list. UPD rocks!

I said you were right about alot you have said, however, you still seem to lump everyone who uses anything in one big pile. I'm saying its not black and white. If you really cared about getting the "dope money" that susposedly fuels all the meth trade out of Northern California then you really should push for complete legalization of pot. If pot were grown by real responsible farmers like grapes it would eliminate the criminal element completely and generate tax revenue. Is alcohol such a terrible substance? It caused more problems during its prohibition than it does now.

Cameramen in the porn industry are in the porn industry. They do not need to pull down their pants in order to be responsible for the end result. DOPE GROWERS are in the DOPE INDUSTRY. They do not need to sell the joint to a kid directly, to be just as responsible for those down the supply-chain that do.

A partial list of the spammers. Very partial. These are the people seeking to silence anything which might be construed as anti-pot. I shouldn't use plural. Chances are, it is one guy, maybe two. This guy used to post conversational posts under FB Grower, while also posting spam under a host of other names. He has since ruined the FB Grower name, and likely will not use it again.
We can't stop the spammers from spamming. They just will, because they insist, like most dope growers, that they control the conversation. That their input is the only input required in a free country. Like the fascists that these people are, they will take what they want through force, if necessary, proving just why marijuana has caused so many problems in Mendocino.
I suggest that good people ignore all these names, ISP areas, and all of other UNREGISTERED USERS that post. It might help to reduce the amount of this stuff a little, so that dconversations can occur. Good people have no issue registering with topix.

Just curious but do you have anything to say about any of the topics or is your purpose in life to follow Mongo around. I really mean this, not an attack on you but what are your ideas on Meth, medical marijuana vs commercial, connection between meth and weed. How about Reggae or the economy? Expand your horizon beyond your obsession with Mongo's world.
