Marijuana Meth Connection

The grower/dealers who are fighting desperately to protect their illicit criminal enterprise will do or say anything to protect their drug profits.

A favorite diversion is to compare the effects of marijuana and meth and to compare marijuana and meth related crimes. The intent is to "prove" marijuana is not a problem or at least not as bad as meth and we should focus on the "real" problelm of meth. It's an effort to deny or deflect us from the fact there are problems with commercial marijuana growing.

The heart of the myth is that marijuana and meth are an either or situation. The truth is many growers are tweekers. We are talking about hard core criminals who will do anything to make an illegal buck. Sometimes marijuana profits finance a meth operation and other times meth profits buy land for marijuana cultivation.

It is also common for mendo marijuana to be traded out of the area for meth which is then brought back and sold here. Think about it. You are a criminal. Right after harvest you have a glut of pot and no one to sell it to. What do you do? It is not uncommon for grower/dealers to take marijuana to the Bay Area or beyond, trade it for meth and bring the meth back and sell it. Taking out commercial growers is complimentary to going after meth.

Marijuana does not make people criminals. The high profits attract hard core criminals, including many meth addicts with criminal histories. They are criminals who choose to grow and sell marijuana because it is lucrative.

Why do we have so many grower/dealers, including meth addicts in Mendocino County? We have made it easy for them to be here with Measure G which allows the highest level of marijuana production per individual and the lowest level of enforcement.

"Mendo Meth Kills" says there is never violent crime associated with marijuana. He ignores the recent story of the marijuana growers arrested for assault and kidnapping of the Covelo teenager or the many other stories involving marijuana related crime.

"Mendo Meth Kills" is the same poster who has encouraged marijuana grower/dealers and their allies to move to Mendocino County in large enough numbers to take over the County at the ballot box.

Very few people in Mendocino County care if someone wants to use marijuana for personal, medical or other reasons. But many of us think we should no longer turn a blind eye to the negative impacts to our communities and our environment.

The grower/dealers are counter attacking on all fronts. They have filed multiple law suits. They plan multiple ballot initiatives. They spam these forums relentlessly. They seek to silence those who disagree with them by name calling, threats, and false charges.

"Mendo Meth Kills" is a grower/dealer who is making lots of money off the dope business. He wants to protect his illegal profits. He is a spammer who has no interest in truth and who only seeks to divert us from the real discussion of how we deal with the marijuana (and meth) related crime.

The grower/dealers have no respect for us or our neighborhoods, our children, our communities, our environment or the will of the voters.

Measure B was a reasonable effort to restore balance to our local situation. Measure B does not keep any legit patient from having access to medical marijuana. But the grower/dealers are not interested in balance. They are only interested in maximum profits.

Open letter to The Dept. of Homeland Security

Secretary Chertoff,
Mendocino COunty in California needs YOUR help!

As you are likely aware, Mendocino County is currently under attack, by the ILLEGAL DRUG INDUSTRY. The majority of their funding comes directly from large scale marijuana production.

This DRUG MONEY has corrupted our local politics, evidenced by our recent election fraud incidents. This money helps elect political stooges, which further corrupt our government, and our way of life, while making it easier for these DRUG DEALERS to reap large profits from DRUGS.

Good citizens throughout Mendocino County are being terrorized by these self-described "Scarfaces", who seek to protect their profits. In the last ten years, crime has grown disproportionately to the population, at staggering rates. I hate drugs too....

I'm guessing that if you state you hate drugs and group weed and meth together you have never done either. Weed and meth are so un-equal in the devestation they cause its like comparing wiskey to coffee....

I work Full time so does my wife...We raised a child, drug and weed free ,whos married to a kid in the USAF. I've given to charity drives and tend to support our community, AND I LOVE THIS PLACE!

NO DRUGS will NEVER HAPPEN. So why not allow the most freindly one of all. Weed.

And also, to Ssss, Yes I like to make a profit but not at any cost.

FB Grower, a self-admitted dope grower/dealer, says "I've given to charity drives and tend to support our community." but has never paid taxes on his dope dealing profits.

there are some problems....most seem like Zoning problems. But when somthing is "illegal" the zoning officer has a gun, puts you in prison with TRUE BAD **** CRIMMINALS. Do you think that makes the world better. It's expensive and dosen't stop the ZONING issues you seem to talk about.

I don't know a grower in Fort bragg who likes big commercial out door growers. I Don't. But guess what... I'VE never seen there operations, Just heard about them. Most of us Small commercial growers have FULL TIME JOBS. We live next door to you and if we don't want you kow about us you don't. Most. If the odor or traffic bothers you I would say thats a rare ocassion cause why would we want to be noticed.

there hass to be a period of LAW abidement before we can go back to what you're visualizing. It's gotton to big and corrupt. We need to sacrafice for a period of time. You don't appear to live in a circle or are exposed to a circle of folks thatprove the connection between weed and meth. I see it! It does go together like lawnorder says. The traffiking does it. The pot travels to our borders, brings back in meth. The market here is huge I think you agree. SO! since it can't be made here as eassy, and pot grows easy, isn't it logical to say the buy and sell of each connects the two?
