You need to wait until all the ballots are counted. Measure B has NOT passed yet. In fact, it may fail.

You are jumping the gun, doctor.

Of 27,710 ballots, only 16,436 have been heard from so far.

Counting the absentee ballots is a tedious process.
-Pick up an envelope.
-Enter the name into the computer to call up the voter registration form.
-Verify the signature by comparing the one on the envelope to the one on the screen.(This can involve calling for a second opinion.)
-Carefully open the envelope.(There's only one right way to do this.)
-Remove the ballot and place it in its tray.
-Place the envelope (which gets saved) in another tray.
-Pick up another envelope...

Do this 11,000 times and then you're ready to start feeding the ballots into the optical counter.

I can wait. I like the antici

Found in todays Press Democrat...

County Clerk Sue Ranochak said the outcome might be known Friday. "We're as eager as everyone else to get it done," said Ranochak.

...wondering why the Ukiah Daily Journal can't keep us updated :)

If B pass or not. It will not make a difference. You people that enjoy MJ for medical reason or not. Will still do as you wish. You NO's just want to find something to complain about. You Yes people have nothing else to do then find a issue. Lets all work together and solve this problem.

Because they are hiding from the truth and telling the truth? Useless paper anymore unless you are into the tabloid "yellow" style journalism

I just heard they finished the count. Ranochack will report the total to the state in the morning, and should announce results between 11 and noon.

Also if you are a medical marijuana patient and you are harassed by a neighbor, simply file a restraining order against them. You are not a criminal and you shouldn't feel like one. Call a cop. Make it so they have to go inside when you come outside. I have done it in 2 counties already. You should have seen the faces on the neighbor when I got a restraining order against them. PTA and all.

Once again to the writer of the letter

DEA says rumors are false

Drug Enforcement Agency spokeswoman Casey McHenry told KMUD news reporter Cynthia Elkins that rumors of a crack-down on indoor marijuana grow operations in the Arcata/Eureka area are not true.

McHenry said the DEA routinely works in Mendocino and Humboldt counties, and will be conducting fly-over trainings next week in Northern Mendocino. The DEA will be working with the Mendo County Sheriffs, she said.

“It’s not some surge operation on the part of the DEA,” McHenry said.“It’s business as usual for us.”

McHenry said the trainings may bring a few more agents than usual to the area, and may cross the Humboldt County line.
