I definitely think it's time this man goes home. 13 years if a very long time and you can't tell me that in the amount of time he has been behind bars he hasn't thought about, and regretted every bit of his actions.

Carl Anderson will have served 13 years as of July of 08. His brother, the codefendant was on thr run for 5 years. He got picked up and received 5 years and did a little over 2 and a half years. Carl's brother has been out for several years now and off of parole living on the outside with his family. I don't understand how anybody would think this is called justice. Carl made a mistake. He has paid his debt to society over and over from what his brother received. It's time Carl gets to go home to his family. i really appreciate any comments so I can find out how other people are feeling on this issue.

See the Anderson Valley Advertiser of April 30, 2008, for the complete story of the case of the Anderson Brothers. Probably available at the Willits and Ukiah libraries, among other places.(Also available by email. Send requests to ava@pacific.net.)

yes, read the article that was put out by carl's brother not by carl as he's still in prison and can't talk about certain issues. it's available at the book juggler and leaves of grass bookstore in willits.remember, there are 2 sides to every story, therefore you can't believe everything you read!!! the fact that terry only served a little over 2 years and carl will have served 13 years in july of 08 is 100%. where is the justice here? for the same crime!!!

i'm glad to see someone feels carl has paid hi debt to society. there are people that have murdered someone and get out in less time than carl has done. also don't forget the baby rapers and molesters that don't get anything out of ruining a life forever.

I agree with you greeneyes about child molestors and baby rapers COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY, but what about the family of the victim in this case? That family never gets to see their loved one again, never. So compare that to 13 years and that may not seem so long.

hello jenni, the victim is alive and well. The victim and his wife also feel it's time carl comes home. even the sister in law is writing a letter to the parole board trying to get carl home.sorry i did not make that clear in the first place that the victim is alive and well.thank you for posting. I really appreciate the publics opinion.

Oh Ok. That changes things. Good luck to all involved. Let him out and make room for someone that really needs to be in there. Thanks for clarifying.

I came late to the party, so I'm clueless about the facts, but I HAVE to ask, now.

What happened?

It's pretty rare that a victim supports the release of the person who shot them.

Geez, that might be a decent documentary if they let him out (even if they don't, actually).

It's more Lintwit abuse of power - she wants to keep the guy incarcerated forever. Read the background - Lintwit supports prison industrial complex.

there was a shooting incident that happened back in august of 93. Carl Anderson and his brother were both involved in the shooting. Carl's brother took off and was on the run for 5 years when he was finally pulled over and arrested. He received 5 years for his part in this incident. He did a little over 2 and a half years of that 5. He has been out and off parole for several years now. Carl, on the other hand did not take off on the run. He was sentenced to life with parole plus 5 years. As of July 2008, Carl will have served 13 years in prison. The vicitm and his wife both feel it's time Carl came home. The victims sister in law also feels it's time and is showing her support for Carl. Thanks for your input. It's very important to us.
