When will you learn, Herb? The Mexican people are among the most "compassionate" on earth. These philanthropic souls will stop at nothing to make sure this life giving elixir/medicine known as "marijuana" is produced in abundant quantity to aid their fellow man.

I have it on good authority that la Eme is paying its full taxes volutarily, then donating any of the minimal funds it scrapes together (after donating the vast majority of their crop to the AIDS foundation in San Francisco) to the Little Sisters of the Poor Orphanage in Tijuana.

I for one am utterly ashamed of Mendocino's Nazi, rascist cops persecuting these heroes. I suggest that we erect a statue in the town square memorializing their heroic fight against the Facsist police of Mendocino.

To the fugitive: If you are out there and read this e-mail, we want to assist. Just come to the Ukiah Police Station; we will be waiting for you open armed with food, clothing and shelter.

Apparently this fugitive of justice of the worst kind reads TOPIX and must have liked your offer of food, shelter and clothing!

The UPD radioed 10-15 with a confirmed I.D. at 10:31: PM... they got him at around the South Dora and Wabash area.

The killer was spotted by a citizen and called 911 and the arrest ensued.

The south-west area of Ukiah will be safe tonight. And once again, nice job goes out to the UPD.

Should you continue to permit an avenue for racists or those with prejudice to vent, you will see not only a huge decline in your customer base, but also an increase in racism and anger in our community. Comments like this spur hate and violence and are useless...no good can come from this sort of "free speech". In fact, this is not free "speech" it is written and posted word...quite a different animal...you cannot censor what comes out of people's mouths, but you can certainly prevent racism from being aired on your website! Do something about it!!!!!!!!!!

actually, while the sites are linked, the UDJ has no editorial control over these boards (as they've previously stated elsewhere). it would likely be of great benefit if these boards were moderated more regularly...

I can see that he would be greatly helped by a batch of brownies and space to chill out in.

Of course, that comment will likely agitate him more, and he's already sick enough to have brought the pot debate to a murderer's story.

Actually that is not entirely true. I took issue some time back with blatant gang related stuff being posted here. I called and spoke with UDJ as well as flagged the offensive posts and they removed them. It's only one gal at UDJ who monitors this forum and she is new at it. Flagging the posts gets an email to her so she can respond.

Thanks "MendocinoNotMendo". I didn't know the two weren't connected. They should be disconnected and/or the distinction between the two should be made very apparent. Nevertheless, my comment stands. This racism is unacceptable, cowardly, and based on ignorance.

Racist? I praised the Mexican people as the most compassionate on earth. Do not paint me with the same brush as Herb, who villified them. Truth be told, my best friend is a Mexican, and he was best man at my wedding. You guys need to lighten up and understand sarcasm when you hear it.
