My 10 year old told me that in his class at school the MAJORITY of Indians and Mexican kids sell meth to other white kids. We need to SEGREGATE them away from white children.

confusing to me? If your 10 year old told you that his classmates were partaking in the selling of meth to "other white kids", why would you want to segregate "them" from the "white children"?

Are you saying that the white kids are not partaking in the buying/selling of this drug?

Ultimately, I see a positive in all this. Those that are unemployed should take a stroll down to the school and ask to sit in the class to ensure that the students are in a safe environment.

Show the kids that they are loved, and that the parents want to be a part of their lives in learning and whatnot.

We might see a positive movement here.

I have no sympathy for drug users/sellers. None. They have made a choice to be involved in this type of activity.

Well now that issue has been resolved, as we were slightly taken off subject and driven down a tangent road.

We as adults, all know what drugs and alcohol do to an individual. What we also know--is what these both powerful mechanisims (sp) do when applied together.

Now--is this a choice of an individual to utilize these substances together? Who made this choice?

Was it the white man who "sells it" or is the Indian who "buys it". And it would behoove me to indicate that some Indians do "buy it" and then "sell it" to make more money. While we keep getting distracted and taken off subject about the behavior of some in the past, this is the now. That is for another post.

This post is about 3 individuals who are in fact representing a Tribe and the Tribe needs to speak up about it. They either condone it or Censure it and the individual. And then take further action to remove the individual from the Stipened he/she receives.

T-Bear made an error, but how many errors will T-bear be allowed to make before the Tribe becomes disinfranchised with the actions and removes the stipend?

What will be the tribes and/or tribal councils view on T-bear and the "possey"?

Will the tribal chairman accept this type of behavior from this individual or any individual?

I post the same question to the tribe in general, will the tribe accept this type of behavior from any individual.

By NOT accepting this action of the individual(s) that partake in this activity, a great step will be taken.

I ask what did the tribe of the past do to those who broke its laws, or broke its representation of the tribe itself?

I really enjoy what the great creator has provided to me and my family and to respect what has been given to me. I would never disrespect that gift. Why do a few of the indians do this? And what of the tribes comments on this action?

Ultimately they are looking for something like love, or the feeling of love.

I am not a pschologists (sp) however it disturbing to say the least that these individuals are also looking for popularity. "If I got the bag, then people will want to see me" (Whatever you want to put in that bag is up to you.)

These individuals are making a choice not to get help. If the person wants assistance in "kicking the habit" they can find it most anywhere, if not everywhere.

I keep asking why the Tribe allows this to happen, or allows the individual to continue to receive their stipend,(if they get one).

If the tribe does offer assistance to "kick the habbit", and the individual chooses not to accept this help, then the tribe should utilize that effort and end or eliminate the individuals reliance on tribal support of any kind and in fact censure the individual.

I do not know if that made sense...

I really feel sorry for the "meth heads", because some of them if not all, can really work hard and be a positive influence in the community and create an atmosphere of being an individual that can flourish with the ideas that flow from their minds, without the help of narcotics of any type.

The Tribe needs to stand up and indicate to the individuals--by using the local newspaper as well as within their own communities (gossiper) that they are willing to suspend the individuals stipend and get them help (with the use of their stipend). If the person chooses not to accept the assistance from the tribe, then the tribe should suspend their stipend perm, then censure the individual out loud like the tribes did of the old days.

Once the Tribe makes the effort to remove the individual from the tribal head count--positive actions may result by making an example of an individual. Others will comply knowing what the consequences are.

David Moon, the fella shot in the neck by the store clerk is now back in the Pink Palace with a parole violation. He needs healing and if the good people of Hoopa really want to see a good change in our community, then step forward and help the David Moon's of this valley get sober, clean, and healed. His family is suffering over his decisions and far too many folks could give not a care for them. Meth kills. It kills the body, mind and soul. Indians make a profit killing off their own people. And yes, there is meth in Eufreaka as well as Hoopa.

I personally think that the tribe should take a stance and make an example of the individuals.
