Yes, money was spent on basic costs of living and worker's wages, but from the sheer volume confiscated, it would appear as if vastly more money was being created than was being spent.
My point here, if I can be allowed to make one, is that larger scale commercial growers do more harm than the good their money brings into our communities. Commercial growers are not, by and large, here out of a sheer love for our communities. Their methods demonstrate this point.
Before you go gettin' yer panties in a bunch... think about the point that we're debating. It is simply my position that larger scale commercial growers, such as the ones that lost their income generator in this article, do more harm than good. If you have some specific evidence and you feel you can objectively refute that point, have at 'er.
