ACCORDING TO A RECENT STORY IN THE WILLITS NEWS, SHERIFF TOM ALLMAN STATED THAT HE SUPPORTS “LEGITIMATE” MEDICAL MARIJUANA” AND OPPOSES “COMMERCIAL CULTIVATION AND SALES OF MARIJUANA”. SHERIFF ALLMAN, ELECTED BY MENDOCINO COUNTY VOTERS WENT ON TO SAY ““Violent crime investigating will remain our top priority. We do not and will not target small grows. We will continue to focus on large grows and complaints about growers who create a public nuisance, endanger public safety or trash the environment”
CRIME WILL INCREASE AS MARIJUANA BECOMES LESS AVAILABLE AND MORE VALUABLE! WE AT THE MENDOCINO MOUNT GIVE SHERIFF ALLMAN OUR SUPPORT AND ENDORSEMENT. SHERIFF ALLMAN HAS BEEN A FOCAL POINT AND PUT IN A VERY INTERESTING POSITION BEING ELECTED SHERIFF BY A POPULACE WHOSE MAIN REVENUE IN MENDOCINO COUNTY COMES FROM THE MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR UNDERGROUND MARIJUANA MARKET. ELECTED POLITICIANS WHO HAVE FAILED TO SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF MENDOCINO COUNTIES MARIJUANA INDUSTRY ON THE LOCAL ECONOMY HAVE RARELY BEEN RE-ELECTED. THE SHERIFF ALSO BEING AN ELECTED OFFICIAL, WHO WORKS FOR THE COUNTY OF MENDOCINO AND IS ELECTED BY THE VOTERS OF MENDOCINO COUNTY, MUST FOLLOW THE LAWS ELECTED BY THE VOTERS OF MENDOCINO COUNTY. BEING THAT THE LOCAL POPULACE SUPPORTS DECRIMINALIZATION OF MARIJUANA, AS MEASURE G PROVED, IN GENERAL, IT HAS PUT SHERIFF ALLMAN AS WELL AS PREVIOUS SHERIFF’S IN MENDOCINO COUNTY, IN AN INTERESTING SITUATION. IN MENDOCINO, THE SHERIFFS BUSTS OF LARGE MARIJUANA GROWS, KEEP THE PRICES HIGH FOR THE SMALLER MEDICAL GROWERS WHO OFTEN SALE THEIR EXCESS PRODUCT TO CANNIBIS CLUBS FOR PATIENTS UNABLE TO GROW IN THE CITIES TO THE SOUTH. MANY GROWERS IN MENDOCINO COUNTY ACTUALLY SUPPORT MEASURE B, BECAUSE IT WILL AD TO THE PROFITS OF ILLEGAL GROWERS WHO CARELESS IF MEASURE B PASSES OR NOT! SEE IF MEASURE B PASSES, THE PRICES WILL INCREASE FOR MARIJUANA, SINCE THE LAW OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND ALSO AFFECTS THE MARIJUANA TRADE, LESS AVAILABLE MARIJUANA WILL SEE AN INCREASE IN THE PRICE OF MARIJUANA ADDING TO THE CRIME ASSOCIATED WITH MARIJUANA AS THE PRODUCT BECOMES LESS AVAILABLE AND MORE VALUABLE. “SHERIFF ALLMAN WENT ON TO SAY IN THE ARTICLE,“Although I will not take a position on Measure B, I will say Mendocino County will be a better spot when marijuana is not on the front page every day,” ALTHOUGH WE SUPPORT SHERIFF ALLMAN, WE DON’T THINK THERE WIOLL EVER BE A TIME WHERE MARIJUANA ISN’T ON THE FRONT PAGE IN MENDOCINO COUNTY. PEOPLE LOVE MARIJUANA WAY TOO MUCH HERE! SUPPORT NO ON B AND SUBSCRIBE TO THE MENDOCINO MOUNT! GREENN NEWS FROM MENDOCINO AND HUMBOLDT COUNTY! |

As long as it is prohibited, there will be value, therefore there will be crime. The more valualbe a prohibited item, the more crime. Started with alcohol prohibition, which saw a rise of organized crime and violence. Continues today with prohibition of drugs.
Take away the value, take away the crime. You don't hear about organized crime battling for their turf over beer, do you? Beer is legal, no value to criminals. |
so by this line of reasoning we should also legalize cocaine, meth, heroin, etc? |
|
exactly what they think!!!! |

i am not saying legalize everything, but you have to admit we need a more rational way of dealing with the issue. What we have been doing for 70 years has not worked. |
How about we first figure out how to control the devastation of the drug we did legalize, alcohol? Or for that matter, prescription drugs. Then talk about legalizing more drugs. |
|
|
Politicians and special interests (Mendo Mount) aside, take it from someone who has no monetary dependency on this issue. This little experiment is not working and must be rethought. Should we legalize and decriminalize (catch phrase) actions based on the government and community's inability to control such activities? If this is your belief, then we should "decriminalize" rape, murder, burglary, domestic violence, drunk driving, forgery, identity theft, driving on a suspended license, crimes against children, etc.
The argument that the current enforcement and laws are not working is just a desperate attempt at preying on societies frustrations. I for one know the realities and to use a cliche, if you give them an inch......they'll take the county. |

I say, forget Measure G, B or any other one, and make the plant legal for medical and adult recreational use
Anyone who compares a plant remedy to synthesized drugs like cocaine, heroin, and meth are not understanding that all of those substances have been created by the minds of men in a desperate state for something that will jolt them one way or the other - wired to comatose - by a sudden impact on their brain due to a rush of chemicals they created and that have been proven to harm them Cannibas heals some people, relaxes others, and is not for everybody in the same way drinking wine can be good for some and not for others -no biggie I think your measures, and the squabbling that goes with them is distracting you from the real task at hand and that is letting the plant be and cleaning up everything that has gone haywire around it legalize it, tax it, and get on with it and people stop confusing a gift from spirit with man made poisons that can cause you grievous harm |

measure b nullifies itself, because it says mendocino county will regulate its medical marijuana industry while remaining subject to all state and federal laws. this measure says all cultivation is illegal because it states it is subject to all state and federal regulations, and federal law says its illegal.one medical marijuana plant will become a felony, stripping patients of the right to grow.

"It's a joke. Greed and the desire to take drugs are two separate things. If you want to separate the two, the thing you do is make drugs legal. Accept the reality that people do want to change their consciousness, and make an effort to make safer, healthier drugs."

In conjunction its Investigation and Prosecution effort in Mendocino, the IRS is offering rewards to informants on those marijuana cultivators evading taxes in violation of the Money Laundering Control Act of 1986 and section 6050 of the Internal Revenue Code. Anonymous tips can be submitted to the IRS High Intensity Money Laundering and Related Financial Crime (HIFCA)Task Force at www.irs.gov/compliance/enforcement . How to claim a reward: IRS Publication 733 details the regulations for claiming a reward. You must complete IRS Form 211. Your information can be delivered personally to any IRS office, or you can write to: Head of the Criminal Investigation Division Internal Revenue Service Washington, DC 20224 If a recovery is made as a direct result of information you provided, you may qualify for a reward of 15% of the amount recovered including taxes, fines and penalties, but not interest -- with a maximum payment of $2 million. If your information was valuable, although not specific, in determining liability, you may be rewarded with as much as 10% of the amount recovered, again with a $2 million cap. If your information was the originating cause of the investigation, but had no direct relationship to the determination of tax liability, the reward is 1% of the amount recovered, again with that $2 million limit. Using an assumed name If you're not claiming a reward for the information, you can use an assumed name. But if you want to claim a reward, you must use your own name. The IRS is legally prohibited from disclosing the identity of an informer to unauthorized persons. |
