Richard Steeb is right, the US Govt has patented cannabis because it is a medicine which heals, not harms. It is so sad to read the posts of all of you who have bought into the cannabis smear campaign the Govt has run on you for 70 years. Why, because cannabis allows you to stop running on the treadmill of consumerism for enough time to stop and smell the roses, and really take a look around.

I feel sorry for the guy who wrote how he was struggling just to make it. Believe me, that's just what the Feds want: you are too busy to question just how much they are controlling your lives. Do you smoke cigarettes? Are you angry when you have to go outside to smoke. Well that's because second-hand tobacco smoke kills. But cannabis smoke cures cancer. it doesn't cause it.

But you don't have to believe me. Check out the NIDA study by Dr. Donald Tashkin. Or do a google search for glioma and cannabis. What you should really be asking is why, when the government knew that cannabis cured cancer back in 1974, they kept the news from you. They buried the research and never followed up. Unfortunately, for us all, the government has big business interests at heart (tobacco, alcohol). Poor work-a-day joe,(that's you and me, bro) we just doesn't matter to them. Oh, yes, and researchers in Italy and Great Britain just found out that cannabis has wonderful anti-microbial qualities, and can combat multi-drug resistant infections that are so prevalent in hospitals today. What more information do you want? Get angry, yes, but not at cannabis users. Get angry at the people-users: your fair government.

Hello, I AM LADY
This shooting is one more event telling us all that we were wrong to forget why pot is illegal in the first place. It’s not because of the plant, it’s because of the low moral and criminal people who can’t seem to stay away from it.

The damage being by the pot growers to the kids and to themselves is only going to get worse until we get smart. Even if there is a way adults can responsibly consume pot, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen soon and it won't include every body being able to grow as much pot as they want.

This means there’s going to have to be stiff, well enforced laws against people growing marijuana.

Right back to square one.

The thing that I find funny is that Tom Allman, through his corrupt incompetence has helped created a multi-billion dollar river of money that’s flowing right in front of him and he wants us all to believe that he doesn't tap into it, drink from it or influence it's direction at all. He wants all of us to believe that he doesn't even know that it's there.

All this drug money is too much for a person of low moral fiber like Tom Allman. We need to replace him as soon as possible.

In 2006 a team of researchers from UC Berkeley published a paper saying that after two and a half years of taxpayer funded research they could find no evidence of the existence of gravity.
Even today in 2008 there still exists a Flat Earth Society and their findings are allegedly supported by research done by people holding PhDs.
It's important to make sure that the research your looking at isn't using apples and oranges to disprove grapes.
Several decades and a king’s ransom have been put toward studying general cause and effect of the contents of tobacco on human anatomy. We now know that the contents of tobacco smoke and pot smoke are over 99% similar.
We also know that there records showing that thousands of people who have only smoked marijuana, never tobacco have died from lung cancer.
I myself have known many people locally who have been smoking pot daily for years and you should hear them cough and wheeze out the words, "It's my medicine".
I can't remember the Latin Legal phrase but it means, "Let the facts speak for themselves". To some degree we all have to separate the wheat from the chaff in this fashion.

Right now, today there is a pot industry whose favorite clients are kids under the age of 18.
For suggesting that physicians are approving billions of dollars of marijuana for kids and that all the growers are just supplying much needed medicine for the kids, you win the combined Idiots Award and the Liars Award.
Your propaganda is only making you look heartless and stupid.
Keep it up.
HUH? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I DON't want what you're smoking...

There are some growers out there that don't know or care who buys their pot but most of the growers I know specifically want to sell to kids because the kids pay top dollar.

You should see what the kids get the money they spend on pot. Not that you’d care. Many of them are in debt to their dealers for huge sums.

The kids aren't rich though, that’s why it takes tens of millions of them buying pot to come up with the billions you pot growers are making.

Not that you’d care.

You are quite mistaken. Most dope growers want to sell to adults as there is less risk and adults have more money. The 1950's have been gone awhile now.You might want to realise this someday.

Most dope growers want to sell to kids because there’s more money in it plus kids represent over 70% of the buyers, and as long as Sheriff Tom Allman is taking pay-offs instead of busting growers, there's no risk.

The more successful the interdiction efforts, the higher the value.

The higher the value, the more incentive to grow.

You see? There is only one way out, the same gateway used to end the roaring twenties.

Legalize it. When any adult who is elegible to purchase whiskey and cigars can obtain medical-grade cannabis herb at the same venue with proof of ADULThood, this silly crap will end. Until that day, keep polishing the heap of excrement that is cannabis prohibition.

Richard Steeb,

There is always a 12-Step program for you... all you need to do is admit to yourself, and to God, that you have an addiction problem.

You will have many rewards; you will get to work on time - not to mention heightened alertness.

You will have more money - not wasting $$$ on pot and munchies.

Most of all; your family will love you again - they don't now if you are a bum.

It's all in your mind Steeb!

There; all better now... go and burn no more.

Meth Addiction Hits Record Highs in Mendocino County as Law Enforcement Searches for Marijuana
Just look around lady, there is a larger meth epidemic in Mendocino County today than ever before.
Every corner, homeless people. Transients in the Police logs all look like patients from the Mendocino State Hospital. The people arrested in the Booking Logs all look like they are 40 years old when they are only in their 20's.
Just look at the teeth of those arrested, if you took 10 arrestees you may find one full set of teeth, no extras however. The Booking Records are proof of the Epidemic you fools deny. An average of 6 "controlled substance" arrests every day,
why don't they find the dealers and the cooks?
The truth is our county makes alot of money busting the users. They know who the cooks are, they wave to them from their Patrol Cars everyday.
Just look around, I've never seen so many cranked out dark people in one area. Mendocino is looking like Clearlake.
And all you fools care about is rating your neighbors cause you fools don't like the smell of marijuana, THATS A REAL SELFISH OUTLOOK.
So go after the mom and poppers all you want.
Its only the distraction to the real problem,
The speed culture is alive and well in any town in Mendocino County.
Save our Counties Children from the Meth Scrooge that is being overlooked while a bunch of Neo Con fools run around turning their neighbors in for 27 Medical Marijuana plants.
The life you save could be your own child!

Meanwhile the real Scrooge is Alive And Well, It's Called Methamphetamine, and it's available in public schools across Mendocino Counties Communities. It's tearing families apart all across our communities, while you worry about Marijuana.

Hi Mendo Mount...

There is no need for the long story... I didn't read it and certainly no-one else reads your copy/paste anymore... we all heard it over and over and over... oh and not to mention the url's to YouTube. Been there, done that, don't want no more.

Sure meth is a problem as well as pot, this is all very academic.

Additionally, everyone knows that pot is the the stepping stone to all other drugs including, but not limited to, methamphetamine in any form.

This is very simple stuff here, very elementary.

Spark my interest, this just not doing it.

"Marijuana use at work subject of bill"

"When I have a headache at work I rely upon my medical "Southern Comfort" to help the pain go away"

But seriously folks.

Insurance companies have the power to dictate allot of what is aloud to occur in this country and they would never allow people in the work force to come to work stoned on pot with no control over dosage at all.

The list of what drugs a commercial airline pilot can take without being grounded is small.

There are many businesses out there that can’t legally operate without insurance.

normally I try to stay out of these conversations because more often then not they degenerate in to senseless name calling.

That having been said I would ask that you provide a link to support your claim that 70% of buyers are people 18 and under.

from an economic stand point that doesn't make any sense. kids in high school generally have a much lower disposable income. The reason being that most kids don't have jobs because they don't need them and those who do can only get limited hours because of child labor laws. now the few that do have jobs can spend it all towards pot sure but the extent of most kids' income is allowence.

Now if you take people 18+, most of them are not living at home and so are forced to have jobs. because they have jobs their purchasing power is much greater and while we do have bills to pay there's (if budgeted properly) plenty left over for non essentials and those who don't budget properly spend it on non essentials before bills.

My point is there's a lot more money from those who have jobs then those who main rely on an allowance. so the statistic that 70% of the business is coming from an age group that don't generally have jobs seems extremely suspicious.

now if a drug, be it cannabis, opiates, or any other medicine, impairs you to the point where you cannot do your job safely then I agree you shouldn't be allowed to do the job while medicated. My point is that it shouldn't be treated any differently then say vicodin. if it's a temporary situation then put the worker on workman's comp. If it's a life long regiment then treat the person like any other person taking an impairing medicine.

See the problem is until the feds reevaluate their stance on cannabis, the best states can do are these half-assed laws. Anything directly supporting it's use would be ruled unlawful and would be repealed by the supreme court.

So while there are a lot of law that aren't helping. there's not a whole lot states can do. People deem these attempts as ineffective but that's only so because their hands are more or less tied by the federal government. With the sweeping ban, it's impossible to make comprehensive laws

The problem with cannabis is that it can be detected in your system for 30 days or more, depending on your metabolism. so, testing an employee for THC can read positive, even though they are not under the influence at the time the test was taken. Vicodin, cocaine, and other drugs can stay in the system for 48 hours. A bit easier to claim the individual is under the influence at the time of the test, but still not 100%.
