Kris sings better than Spartacus spells, or maybe Spartacus is deaf and wants the singing to be signed by an interpreter. Maybe he's just ignorant and would be better of keeping his narrow minded views at home where he can vent on this forum about what an amazing music critic he is.

Yup, Kristofferson is a song writing LEGEND! That is academic, copy that. Please allow me to reiterate; the guy can write songs like NO OTHER... however, Kristofferson alone on the stage, by himself, without Willy Waylon and the Boys is a waste of ticket money! Additionally, if the concert is free... it would be a waste of my time and Kristoffersons time because Kristofferson CANNOT carry a note! He is NOT a singing star, NOT a concert star, NOT even a singer, the dude is TONE DEAF! Willy, Waylon and the Boys only had him tag along because, hey! The dude CAN WRITE, NOT SING! You are absolutely right, Kris is a BRILLIANT song writer and CANNOT sing, I had the mispleasure of seeing him at the Luther Burbank Center in Santa Rosa some years ago. Unfortunately, he was on the Nicarauga campaign and his concert songs were mostly political "Not in Nicarauga..... Not in Nicaragua... " It was some BS crap. Once again, we are in agreement and my tix to that concert were free but it was still a waste of my time and gas....I would much rather see Rita Coolidge. Saw them both years ago here in Ukiah shopping at, try and remember, think....Wildberger's Market! |

LMAO I'm sure there's quite has been talent agents and record labels that told ol' Kris he couldn't sing and should stick to writing. You music critics that have never made a dime in the music industry should look them up.
Kristofferson got his break eventually, despite the loser critics, and went on to make his millions SINGING, not writing. Like Tom Waitts, there's some stuff he's written that other artists have done well by and turned into big hits but his best stuff, like Pilgrim Chapter 33....nobody can sing that right cepting Kris. Wonder if Willie Nelson is going to show up and sing "Mendocino County Line"? Wonder who else Kris will round up for the fundraiser? |

You guys Kris can sing, I know he is not the best when he is alone but listen to the Highway men and you will hear him carry a pretty good note. He is doing this for the firefighter who worked they're asses off fighting to save Cali. So what if he cant sing its still cool that he is coming up to Ukiah to preform for the fighters who are stoked that he is coming up. Spartacus you cant write songs so why are you hating. Well..I want to give some support to Kris. I like Willy Nelson's nasal voice, and I've always liked Kris. He's been through many transitions in his life fighting off bad habits. However, valuable time doesn't allow a trip to see him. There you go! I did make it to one movie he made that a schoolmate of mine appeared in as a waitress.
