I have had the displeasure of sitting through a colfax led meeting.... He wants to do and accomplish NOTHING!!! He approved my issue and had the votes to pass it but he wanted to wait until 10 months later to vote. Even his constituents were urging him to go ahead and vote, one said "come on let's do what we were elected to do and vote, then move on to the next issue" Colfax is a brain-dead, no-growth I got mine and screw all of you member of the board

For anybody but these two. Colfax and Smith are a disgrace to The coast.

hmm, looks like the county has "greedy BOS members". Guess its not just those "greedy pot growers" anymore.

Maybe the BOS wants to make it so difficult to be on a grand jury so there won't be one

They managed to prove they do not respect the penal codes governing grand juries when they looked the other way to no response being filed when required by law from the BOC of CDC in the year 2002 - the response would have actually led perhaps to the missing fire insurance paid out money that was to have been used to replace the public housing buildings and still had not

The way the BOS disrespects the grand jury seems flagrant and that can only be if they themselves are suspect

Its interesting to read the history of the grand jury which came about in England centuries ago, as a way to strip the powers from the church fathers

The idea was to give the power of holding govt officials accountable back to the people - this practice was established in all of the original colonies, and has spread to most of the states

The duty of a grand juror is of the highest nature in the intention of what they are created for and how they can protect not only the people but the officials, as well, by keeping it present in their mind people are watching them

Officials who are honest and ethical welcome the role of the grand jury in a community and are thankful for the diligent work of its members, and they would want to support the service these community minded folks are providing all of us

But in Mendo, its not only the BOS who has violated the State Penal Code re non-compliance of the grand jury laws, its also the DA, the county council, and your faithfully corrupt Judge Richard Henderson, who is actually the presiding judge of the grand jury and called off the 3rd investigation of CDC that needs to happen since the responses were never filed to the 2nd investigation conducted

The amount of money in question that is not accounted for by that one agency alone, that might have been discovered, that Henderson got in the way of (see how suspect that makes him, since he is linked to it and one of the things noted in the history of the grand jury is the officials who interfere are the obvious suspects)would have easily paid for the traveling expenses of the jurors

comparing their need to that of questionable supervisors use of travel money is ridiculous

the supervisors are salaried for one thing and the jurors are civic minded people giving of their time and energy to protect all of us, our money and our civil liberties

Mendocino should do everything you can to empower your juror's because of the corruption and greed that runs your county and your officials

Dennis and his people had the good sense to make the 3rd investigation into the corruption and illegal and dangerous management practices of CDC, and the judge who had been on their BOC for 5 different years, the last one just before becoming a judge and who had full access to the money code for CDC when on the BOC when the money is reported missing from, called it off

I have been letting you know this repeatedly, but like someone said in one of the posts, the only thing you guys seemed to carry on about is pot

and make sure your jurors can do their imp. jobs
