"Late Wednesday afternoon, the Elections Office issued a press release stating that in addition to the 439 provisional ballots, there are more than 10,000 mail-in ballots that were dropped off at polling places on Election Day and have not yet been counted (see accompanying article.)"

Obviously, with only 16,000 votes counted, and 10,439 votes uncounted, measure b has not passed at all!

Wow.... I can't believe 47% of the voters here are potheads!
I was at the Registrar's Office yesterday and there were two guys voting that looked like they had just smoked a blunt! He registered for a party that "wasn't recognized" and didn't know what a "primary election" was! HA! All he cared about was voting on Measure B. Too funny.
I can't believe B pass by such a small margin.
So, now all you dope growers need to leave our County. Take your drugs and crime somewhere else... how about San Jose? I heard they have a no limit canopy city ordinance.
So sadly ignorant.......everyone has the right to vote....even people you find unappealing.

And to the person who wants to snitch. Good luck to you. I wonder if it was justa coincidence that the Black dope cop chopper and Military gunships were just hanging around the Ukiah airport yhe day before Measure B went to vote. Or did they already have the go ahead because they already knew the vote would be fixed in their favor?
I really don't think county ordinances supercede
State laws passed by a majority of State voters.
The Registar office knew it would discourage people from voting when the closed the rural polls and make you pay to vote. Isn't that illegal to make you pay to vote? By having to pay to vote you have to pay for postage. It shouldn't cost you 1 cent to vote. Oh-yeah just drive down and drop it off and that costs $70 from where I live in Mendocino County.
Ever ask IRS why the Tea Tax started the American revolutionary war?
Add to the Fat Lady. You better sit down and take a load off your feet. Go get some Nazi crank turn on Rush Limbo and give your Sieg Hiel to Ross Liberty and his city slicker Neo-Con Fascists cronies who want to run Mendocino County with their self-serving hidden agenda laden MO's.
I really don't think Measure B will effect the big cartel growers at all. The loggers and ranchers have all the Mexican labor and there isn't any more trees to cut or fruit crops to tend. Just the medical patients will be come after by DEA because they are easiest targets.
Shame on Lintott, Allman and the wayward BOS.
Dear Mr. Freeman. I am not a neo-con, I am not a member of the GOP nor am I a "pot nazi" yet I voted YES on B. Wake up to who your neighbors really are... We are concerned citizens, just as you seem to be, who happen to be on the other side of the debate. Why is it that you pro-pot people throw around titles like "fascism" and call us "Nazis", these are strong words that only serve to breed hatred. You will not win a debate this way. You sir, are a sad, sad, man.

Lots of Germans whined they weren't nazis or facists after they lost too.

There were a dozen ways to achieve the goals the Yes on B group wanted besides punishing MMJ patients. You voted for a measure that wouldn't achieve any of those goals in favor of just punishing MMJ patients. Like it or not, you voted with the fascists in this county.

MMJ patients have not been punished in any fashion. I voted, I did my part. Win or lose it's out of my hands now. That doesn't make me a nazi fascist as you so claim.

MMJ have definitely been punished in this county. They've been harassed, arrested, dragged into court and forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars they don't have on attorney and legal fees fighting phony charges prosecuted by Lintott's office. What planet have you been living on while all this has been going down for the last 18 months?

You voted with the fascists on Measure B. That may not make you a fascist but it sure as hell makes you a "fellow traveler".

just curious - to get to your old polling station did it cost you more than $0.42 in gas? if so then you're actually saving money...

How can 16,000 of 26,000 votes be counted and yet out of town corporate papers (UDJ)(twn) claim measure b passed? MEASURE B HAS NOT AND MOST LIKELY WILL NOT PASS! And there is only a 700 vote difference as of today, what will become of Measure Bs is still to be seen! COUNT ALL THE VOTES!
DON"T BE SCAMMED BY THE CORPORATE PRESS!

What do you think is "stronger," using words like fascism and Nazis, or putting innocent people in cages for consuming a plant that is non-addictive and far less harmful than alcohol?

Of course not.

My grandfather was a wealthy manufacturer in Berlin before Hitler & his cronies took over. He wrote and spoke out against the Hitler and the Nazi party in public places until he, my grandmother, and my aunt were arrested and sent to a slave labor camp to shut him up. The vast majority of people who went along with Hitler and enabled his rise to power were not Nazis; they were ordinary people who knew exactly what he was doing to their neighbors, the Jews, the Poles, the gypsies, etc. and the majority of those ordinary people went along it, just like the majority of ordinary people in this country have gone along with the fascist Drug War against their neighbors in this country.

It's hard to tell who's worst. The fascists who started this war on civil liberties, their paid political whores in government, or the ordinary citizens who enable the fascists and their atrocities by voting for the whores and stuff like Measure B.

Yeap, expecting equal protection from the law sure is fascist.

All you child poisoning drug dealers have to go back to what ever state you came from and crawl back under your rock.
where should the makers of highly-caffeinated drinks go after they hospitalize our children with their products?

Here is a link to the latest study about teens and energy drinks

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24831859/wid/1191...

Think caffeine isn't harmful? Here is an exerpt as to just how much caffeine our children are intaking with those redbulls, full throttle, etc.

Range of caffeine content
The drinks include a variety of ingredients in different combinations: plant-based stimulants like guarana, herbs like ginkgo and ginseng, sugar, amino acids including taurine as well as vitamins. But the main active ingredient is caffeine.

Caffeine content varies. A 12-ounce serving of Amp contains 107 milligrams of caffeine, compared with 34 to 38 milligrams for the same amount of Coca-Cola or Pepsi. Monster has 120 milligrams and Red Bull has 116. Even higher on the spectrum, Spike Shooter contains 428 milligrams of caffeine in 12 ounces, and Wired X344 contains 258.

and this is what can happen if those teens mix energy drinks with alcohol

One concern about the drinks is that because they are served cold, they may be consumed in larger amounts and more quickly than hot coffee drinks, which are sipped. Another worry is the increasing popularity of mixing energy drinks with alcohol. The addition of caffeine can make alcohol users feel less drunk, but motor coordination and visual reaction time are just as impaired as when they drink alcohol by itself, according to an April 2006 study in the medical journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research.

Sounds like poison. I have always maintained the ploicy that if any of the youth i worked with drank those drinks they couldn't participate that week in the given activity.

If I did run for sheriff I just might be knocking on your door with a warrant. At least I would support all the sheriffs that wanted to enforce the law and protect the tax paying, law-abiding citizens of Mendocino County.

There are several sheriffs who would do allot better job than me. One of them is Sheriff Kevin Broin.
