Time for Sheriff Allman to meet Bubba, his new cellmate and "special" friend.
I own 70 acres outside Willits, and have for over a decade. I bought the whole thing for less than $100,000. I developed a spring and put in a nice trailer. I used to bring the family on vacation. Typical scene, see the redwoods, camp out, swim in the Eel River, eat dinner out in Willits.
Now, the place is a cesspool. Two times in two years I had to drive growers off at gunpoint. The Sheriffs would not even accompany me..."well, if it gets bad, call us.." Bull. I will not bring my family up here, now I just bring the hunting club twice a year, and evict the "squatters." Some day, someone is going to get hurt. Where the hell are my rights?

A while back he was insisting he wasn't old enough to be the jailed lawyer down in San Diego.

But if he bought seventy acres for $100K, I'm betting he would have to be that old.

Some people have thousands of bottles of wine in their wine cellars. They must not be lying when they say they never sell any of their wine and it's all for personal use..........

Regulate marijuana like alcohol.

Read the original story that prompted this thread.

The six plant guideline was the result of three years of hearings involving all the stakeholders. By contrast, the 25 plants for everyone was plucked out of thin air by Richard Johnson.

Legitimate medical patients and their advocates support the state guidelines. It is our local commercial growers who are opposed.

Wine ages and gets better with time. Some of the great Chateaus of France have bottles centuries old. Pot degrades inside of a year or two, even if refrigerated. I guess your little charade doesn't work....

>>>"Wine ages and gets better with time. Some of the great Chateaus of France have bottles centuries old. Pot degrades inside of a year or two, even if refrigerated."

Which misses the whole point of the comparison. Alcohol, the drug that is addictive, more intoxicating, more impairing and MUCH more harmful has no limits on how much you can possess.

But a natural plant that is near benign must carry severe limits on how much a person can have.

Yeah. That's the ticket.

I said, "Regulate marijuana like alcohol."

You respond:

>>>"What schools do you sell your pot at?"

Not only is this vicious ad hominem and libel, it is logically bankrupt. Black marketeers are the last people who want to see marijuana regulated like alcohol. They'd be out of a job. This is a good demonstration of the caliber and character of prohibitionists.

As late as 2004, I bought two "off the grid" 35 acre parcels in Mendo for $70K and $65K. It surely could be done (70 acres for $100K) until at least 2000. If you want a sweet, remote, fenced 35 acre piece with developed water and 1000 gallon storage for $250K, I can make it happen right now.

It sure sounds like you are trying to say that, since the passage of Measure G, the value of your land has risen dramatically.

Of course, that would make some amount of sense (at least it does to me).

The part that doesn't make sense is why you'd want to overturn it and see the value go back down.

Because the lands value went up because **** growers covet it so they can hit the black market and make a million their first year. I frankly do not need the money, and would sell for less than market value to the right person. That person would be a peace loving boomer who wants to live and let live without selling grass.

I do not need to make money off of others misery,(or their childrens) like your **** growers in Mendo.

>>>"That person would be a peace loving boomer who wants to live and let live without selling grass."

Are the folks who sell beer, wine etc. peace-loving boomers? All studies have shown alcohol is the drug that causes the most violence and mayhem on the roads. So how much more peace-loving are those who sell a plant that is non-addictive, less impairing, and far less harmful than alcohol? The only thing that introduces non-peace - or violence, crime, corruption, etc.- is prohibition. Just like it did with alcohol.

>>>"I do not need to make money off of others misery,(or their childrens) like your **** growers in Mendo."

Where is the misery from marijuana? No one has said it is for kids. That is a straw man argument. It is prohibition that puts marijuana in the hands of minors. Just like with alcohol prohibition. One of the big reasons they ended it was because it was causing an epidemic of childhood alcoholism.

Yano, somewhere in thread-land Kinder made a date with some of his other B buddies up in Willits to eat at a restaurant, in public, in advance.

I thought that was a remarkably stupid idea, if it was real.

A lot of these people are playing hardball.

Me? I'm just stuck in a bad situation that I'm trying to resolve.

Oh, and I detest lies.

Here is a tacitadmission by writch that Measure G has resulted in a big increase in rural land values. Why is it that Measure G would cause land values to go up? Is it just possible that Measure G has attracted a huge influx of commercial growers who have driven prices up? Ya think?

So, come on down. I have a concealed carry permit, and I sure as heck ain't scared of the likes of you. As for people "playing hardball" I assume you mean commercial growers like yourself who will commit acts of violence to preserve your illegal and immoral criminal racket. Sounds like a great reason to say "Yes on B."

My reservations are made, see if I care who shows up. Two of my hunting pals are in Federal law enforcement...see you there.
