NO TO B

There’s an old saying that it takes all kinds to make this world.

I believe it doesn't take all kinds; there simply are all kinds.

This world doesn't need people as foul mouthed and foul minded as you.

I'm seeking followers and I heard Mendocino County is full of gullible people. You embraced Jim Jones, Reverand Moon, the Krishnas, Charles Manson, and now the dope growing criminals.
In order to join my sect, all you have to do is sign over all of your worldly possessions, so I can add to my fleet of Hummers( previously Rolls-Royces).
Come one, come all you rasty rag-headed stoners!

Welcome to Marijuanacino County. Where the pot, the doctors, the police and the politicians are for sale.

There are lots of gullible people here. Why else would we put up with all the corruption?

At 25 plants per script, if you get 1000 followers you can grow 25000 plants.

It is really sad to see what a split this board has, it shows how divided our county is. I am disappointed that Lintott is speaking out for Measure B. I thought we already voted on this issue before and it passed. I feel for James Kinder who has his land invaded by squatters. The Sheriff should help you remove them because it is not their property to cultivate. However, if the person is on their legitimate land, it should not be anyone's business how many plants they are growing. I am sure that if the plants were stolen, they would complain. I am not sure that I would want to see that kind of situation, people are not as level headed as they should be.

Bottom line, grow for you, your own...the herb was put here on earth by God and there must be something good about it. Oh and George Washington used to cultivate it and smoke it! Dig him up and put him in jail!

There has to be a better way than all this fuss.

"All this fuss", let's see, home invasions, burglaries, shootings, stabbings, assaults, robberies, tax evasion, vandalism, theft, and the apparent denial of civil liberties by the "pro" pot growers and their dependent users.

This sounds like a fuss to me and all of the above have been on the rise since since the misguided word got out that Mendocino County was the place to make a fortune growing an illegal narcotic (sorry, medicine).

The growers and their "patients" (all over the world by the way, in case you were thinking that the marijuana stays here) should thank god that they are in the United States. If it was Columbia then we (Mendocino County) would be overrun by helicopters, our crops (marijuana) would be burned to the ground, and the growers would be taken to another country for prosecution.

Remember this when you complain that someone is watching you, remember this when you are held accountable for profiting from this drug, remember this when you lie to your children about how it is alright to profit from this illegal drug even though your precious Measure G even states that it is illegal to profit from the sale of marijuana.

Kudos to the DA -her job is enormous. She's making decisions and sticking to them. She won't make everyone happy but at least she can take a stand and has the backbone to follow through with it. That's what leadership and responsibility are all about, folks, so put your grown-up shoes on and deal with it.

Sorry if I HAVE a problem with a dirtbag laying on his rear end, growing his way to $200,000 in tax free money, while the rest of America works hard and pays their taxes. Meanwhile, said dirtbag is capitalizing on the exploitation of our youth, while posing as a public servant. Don't give me any crappola that growers pay taxes on their grass profits, they DON'T. Yet they cheerfully use our roads, phones and public services, all paid for by honest citizens. Please do not tell me that they are morally equal to hardworking, honest citizens. They are SLIME, HUMAN WASTE, that are in violation of a host of laws including the Money Laundering Act of 1966.

Paraphrasing Kinder:

Meanwhile, said dirtbag is capitalizing on the exploitation of our youth, while posing as a public servant. Don't give me any crappola that growers pay taxes on their BEER profits, they DON'T. If this sounds silly with beer, imagine how much sillier it should sound with a non-addictive, far less harmful natural plant.

End the madness.

Wow, what logic. There is a lot of comparison between Anheuser Busch, which paid $523,000,000.00 in Federal taxes last year per their last Securities Exchange Commission filing, and Joe Dirtbag the grower, who pays nothing. Oh, and by the way, Joe Dirtbag specializes in hooking children, while AB is regulated and controlled and sells only to adults. Put down your joint and take a few breaths of clean, THC free air. You might have a different frame of reference.

During alcohol prohibition, bootleggers paid no taxes either. Marijuana is non-addictive, unlike alcohol. One of the main reasons alcohol prohibition was ended was because it was causing a huge epidemic of child alcoholism. Not being able to adjust for the prohibition factor displays severely faulty logic.

You're numbers are impressive, but nowhere near that of America's number one cash crop.

http://www.drugscience.org ./

*** "Government reports from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, the Library of Congress, and other sources indicate that the supply of marijuana in the United States is 14,349 metric tons, or 31.1 million pounds. Various price indexes from public and private sources produce a retail price of $7.87/gr or $3,570/lb, setting the overall retail value of the illicit marijuana market at $113 billion. Government reports indicate that the nation's marijuana laws cost taxpayers $41.8 billion annually. The Office of Management and Budget reports that local, state, and the federal government receipts represent 28.7% of the gross domestic product as tax revenue. The diversion of $113 billion from the taxable economy into the illicit economy deprives taxpayers of $31.1 billion annually. Marijuana arrests cost taxpayers $10.7 billion annually."
You should leave off the personal attacks. They indicate a poster who is desperate and out of arguments."

We haven't even touched on the costs associated with the destruction caused by alcohol: the addiction, the lost productivity and the 100,000 deaths directly caused by alcohol consumption.

When all else fails, check the facts.

Prohibition ended about 75 years ago, in case you did not notice. As for marijuana not being "addictive," tell it to the thousands of screwed up kids seeking help.

The pot growers are everybody's business because the growers are shipping their pot to every school in the nation.

Pot growers are truly greedy, child poisoning low life. They are out of control with greed. We have seen time and time again that the growers don't care how young the buyers are.

Today the pot industry has made it so kids that are too young to roll can buy a pot pipe with their favorite super hero on it. I've seen them in local stores. The sales people say "adults like super heroes too."

Their actions truly are unconscionable.

I can't believe that you as a mom aren't concerned about this.
