why is there only two comments on the worst crime someone can commit but over two hundred on a pot growing operation? I think everyone needs to get their priority's straight!!

This must be incredibly painful for all involved. I wouldn’t know where to begin...

As my wife and I look to upgrade our current house since we've out grown it, I decided to check out the Megans Law site. We have a 6 year old daughter. I was shocked to see over 55 registered sex offenders living in our area, including next door to a house we were considering.

I guess we can add another one to the list.

If any one knows how they treat child abusers in Prison..they will know this person is in for a real hard time in his life's decision to hurt a child. There are nothing but child abusers in Prison and they wait to abuse then new ones that walk through the doors of rehab....It's a different kind of rehab offered to Child Abuser's..

for one, not many people are going to rush to a convicted child molester's defense. and two, this story just posted a couple of hours ago, as opposed to many of the marijuana threads which have been open for days/weeks/months.

Why? F'ing sickos. Poor little girl. Put him in the general population at prison and let the other inmates know what he is. Or, give him to the Mother. Or, give him to the Father. Dam*.

I think you should show his booking picture so we know who he is.

Why did he plead guilty to only one charge? There were several charges. Looks like the guilty is only to the lowest charge... lewd & lascivious act w/ a minor.

did the DA cop some sort of deal with this monster?

i didn't read the whole article, but i believe it was a plea bargain

Ummm...that's what a Plea Bargain is...a deal. Nobody would plea if the DA's offer was to take all the max charges and sentences...

You should think before you post! I Would hope everybody posting here would agree with me that this guy is a low life, disgusting, poor excuse for a human being. He has a new home now and hopefully it will be for a long time.

That is the problem, he'll be out in a few to hurt more little girls. That's why molesters have so many victims. He should spend his life behind bars. I think that the guy saying people needs to get their priorities straight meant the right thing. So many people worried about pot growers while our children are being hurt in the hands of monsters that our children think they can trust. It really is a sad crime that people don't know the extent of the hurt it causes until they have been there.

If this man weren't named "Fetzer", would he have gotten such a deal so quickly? After drugging and raping an ELEVEN-year-old?

People who are concerned about this should make an effort to attend the sentencing -- Fetzer could wind up with probation and a few weekends in county jail, instead of eight years in state prison.

Thank goodness he took the offer to plea to the lesser charge and spare the girl from having to testify and cause her more trauma. Her life and her family's life will never be the same......lots of victims in this sort of crime.....I hope the judge takes that into consideration.

Readers should notice that the story about this crime is "Most Viewed" on the Ukiah Daily Journal website, even though it is the LAST item listed in small type.
The regional Santa Rosa Press Democrat doesn't even HAVE a story -- which keeps the Fetzer name out of the press, except for this story. The only other coverage of Fetzer's child-rape was a PRO-Fetzer piece in the child-molester-friendly Boonville newspaper.
Ben Brown's article doesn't mention child-sex-offender registration for Fetzer (on Megan's List, mentioned in another comment here). Does the plea deal POSSIBLY provide for Fetzer to avoid registration?
