I love how all these people are complaining about getting busted for their "medicine" crops. I wish my "medicine" (advil) bought me new trucks and homes and a handful of fresh $20.00 bills. Get real , get a real job! Nobody is getting busted for small mom and pop medicine. They are getting busted for the 10,000 plant money factory in their back yards. And man those arthritis patients sure do climb in those lifted trucks easily. Im all for the medical aspect of it but lets not kid ourselves.

I have a Masters Degree in Compassionate Caregiving from Garberville University, and I only want to grow my crop for my clients who have debilitating conditions like headaches, muscle cramps, and assorted owies.
I can not hold down a 40 hour a week job, due to my preference not to. I look forward to consulting with other caregivers on how to avoid participating in traditional occupations.

I do not have a problem with growing "medicine" for personal use and keep it at the limit of six plants, which is still more than any one person can use, but the big grows are ruining our economy and our way of lives. We have a small business in the area and we seem to be only of a few that does not "grow". We are barely able to make it but others in our area in the same business seem to be able to buy property, vehicles, and build million dollar homes. If law enforcement can't take care of these outlaws, why not send in the IRS for audits. They are blatant about the money they throw around, like "in your face". It is very hard to compete in the market with those you have so much illegal money. At lease we will never have to worry about that knock at the door informing us we are busted and having our pictures on the sheriff's website.

Why is six plants more than any one person can use? What if they are not of a godzilla-sized variety and from a medicinally useful strain? 2. Are you absolutely certain that all of your competition are growing or is this just a hunch? I don't see how throwing out ideas which have their basis in prejudice and misinformation will move any people who are on the fence about the cannabis cultivation issue over to the "get tough" side. If anything, people who don't already believe this fiction may have more compassion for harm-reduction oriented policies when they realize how fallacious the prohibition arguments are. To some, it sounds like useless complaining. When you complain to people who are already prejudiced, they will agree with you. The question remains "so what?" Yes it is a problem... the solution is more of the same?

How is it that lots and lots of untaxed cash flowing into the county is hurting your business? How is it bad for the economy? What understanding of money do you have that leads you to believe you would make more money if there was less of it around? I find it interesting that people have such a problem with medicine being profitable. Are you people aware that drug companies are among the most profitable corporations out there? Did you know that Oxycodone is essentially heroin made in a lab, and that its addictive properties were played down to usher it through the FDA approval process? That stuff kills people. It continues to kill people, and yet you think the villains are the ones growing pot in their back yards. Grow up. CEO's of these companies make tens of millions of dollars a year. No, they don't develop drugs out of charity, and they don't care if their drugs are safe or not. Oh, but back to the real point. If there's a lot of cash around, and you're not getting it, maybe your business just isn't that good. Maybe it could be improved upon... But surely the extra cash burning holes in growers' pockets is not what's keeping you down. Sorry, that just doesn't make sense. -WAS

I wish I had a dollar for every time a grower drove their $60,000 dollar 4WD into town to pick up their welfare checks and food stamps. Nothing makes pain go away like having an extra $300,000 to $2,000,000 bucks in your coffee can. Big growers or small growers, it doesn't matter. All of them sell and none of them care who buys. That's how it gets into the schools.
