It doesn't take me to get hit in the head with a board to know it hurts.

now they can say they had "training" in how to use them.

Anything that will help our local officers do their job, and protect not only themselves but me while doing it, is good news to me.

Epidemic of Police Brutality and Harassment Sweeps America & UK An epidemic of violence and harassment is sweeping the country. Police are being trained that the general public are the enemy and that they can engage in outright brutality without recourse. Taser deaths are skyrocketing because the police have been ordered to use "pain compliance", otherwise known as torture, to subdue and oppress the citizenry. Police are also increasingly completely unaware of the laws they are supposed to enforce and have resolved to invent offences out of thin air as an excuse to harass people. It is time for police to remember that their duty is to protect the general public from criminals and not act as enforcers for a tyrannical police state. Please post your police brutality stories, links and video to our Prison Planet Forum and we will include the best material here. ---------- Man Tortured To Death In Police Custody The use of electric shock as a method of torture was first documented in Nazi, Germany, but today it is still used as an acceptable use of torture in the United States. In Gwinnett County, Georgia, an un-edited police videotape shows 31-year-old Deacon Frederick Williams being struck with a TASER five times in 43 seconds, just 4 minutes after being led into the jail. He was handcuffed behind his back and in leg restraints, following an epileptic seizure at his home; an ambulance was called by his wife and son, but the police arrived first. His last words were: "Don't kill me, man. Don't kill me." No charges have been filed in the torture / murder; the County DA refused to show this video to a Grand Jury, even though another man in custody was murdered just months earlier after being tortured with a TASER by the same police. Is it any surprise that Mendo Mount, numero uno anti-bee spammer, is also anti-police? The commercial growers don't like reasonable limits or the brave officers who enforce them. On June 3 Vote Yes on B to tell commercial growers like Mendo Mount that the party is over.

Im not anti Police, my brother is a cop! I'm like everybody else, I'm against corrupt cops. I'm against Police Abusing their Power! I'm against rules that are enforced on some and not others- based on the color of their skin, or their political beliefs! I'm against using "pain compliance" (torture) to enforce the law! so no, I'm not anti cop, im anti abuse of POWER! IF YOU WERE A REAL MAN(LIKE YOU SAY YOU ARE) YOU WOULD VALUE LIBERTY OVER SECURITY, YOU WOULD BE ANTI-POLICE ABUSE TOO! BUT YOUR NOT A REAL MAN! |

Don't tase me bro... tase Mendo Mount instead. |

it seems everyone calls foul when there is an officer-related shooting; now that they have a less life-threatening method of containment everyone is still upset. i think it's silly and unfair to expect that law enforcement should take to the streets with only bubble-blowers and lollipops

I'm not surprised at some of the comments here. (See mendo Mount). Lets face some facts here. We as a society have to have laws. We need people to enforce those laws and maintain peace. If not we have anarchy. We must give our brothers in blue or Khaki the tools needed to do their job. If a Taser can be used to end an event without the loss of life than I say use it. The problem with some in our society, is nobody wants the police unless they need them

Law Enforcement is the necessary evil. We all want them to stop speeders from driving by our house fast but don't want to be the one to get a speeding ticket. We want them to fix the problems in a few minutes we generally created over a few hours, days or weeks. And god help them if they make the decision that is against us and not the other guy, obviously they must be on the take then by the other guy. There will never be a time when everyone is happy with how Law Enforcement is doing their job. I for one have told my children that if they lie to the cops even if they are wrong, they will be in more trouble later with me and I will support them getting in further trouble with the cops. How many parents have that same support today. We all want to say that our little Johnny couldn't have done something wrong and encourage a mentality early on to be liars and cheats. The problems in society are not Law Enforcements problems, they are ours as a society. I am glad the cops got Tasers if for the very least, if I'm drunk and out of control, I know the "torture" as indicated will be short and temporary, as opposed to them having to break my arm, pepper spray me or shoot me if I fight them.

The cops are a never anyone anyone wants to see...
Why do they do this job I wonder? That's right to protect my dumb but from you dumb but. We need to offer our support to the good men and women of the law. They but on the uniform and their badge every day to go out and deal with the most inconsiderate, low life, whiners you will ever meet in your life. They, chase down one drug dealer to give back the stolen goods to the other drug dealer - because, well a crime is a crime. They, make choices every moment of their tour to help you help yourself, one of those choices may be to take your life in order to save someone else. Let us not forget that YOU, my doped up, don't want to deal with society, robber, wife beater, child molester, car stealer... YOU made the choice that puts the gun, and if you're very lucky, taser to your head - don't make them pull the trigger. To all you good cops out there - thank you, thank you from the bottom of my liberal little heart. |

YOUR RIGHT KUDOS TO THE GOOD COPPERS! WE KNOW YOU DESERVE IT! THANX |

I am a law enforcement supporter. I am just having issues because of a select few officers and deputies in this area. They are giving law enforcement a bad name. They are forcing good guys out and keeping/protecting the corrupt few and it is tragic and unfair. It is a small community so you can see the authorities flaws on a daily basis which is both bad and good. I feel that non lethal tools are great. I just hope that the trigger friendly UPD uses tact and good judgement, at least it's not bullets!

Good cops are GOOD people.
They come to help you when you are in trouble. They protect you. They keep you safe. They have your best interests at heart. That said, when I worked with a residential program, we knew we had a propensity to attract pedophiles. We screened for it. The policing industry attracts a similar dark underbelly. They don't screen for it well enough. You can see it at Wald Police Supply in Dallas (if they are still open). Stock cop items and all the leather and S&M you could ask for (boy, do I mean EVERYTHING--and a strip club next door). I've actually sat with a bus full of kids and had one of these jerks hold me up for over twenty minutes before I realized his uniform wasn't from the locale he was holding me up in. I had a girlfriend who also had another boyfriend who was one of these dark cops and he came and cut up all her underwear and left bullets in her bed (didn't like that his girl was doing a hippie). They DON'T tell. They are dark. They live in shadows and secrets. They demand that the other cops keep the 'brotherhood' over the truth. Sometimes there are REALLY good cops like Serpico who stand up to the bad ones even though they know their life is on the line. All in all, they need to do better screening. If I were an S&M dom, I couldn't find ANY BETTER WORK than being a cop. Well, except maybe being head of security over a bunch of little deaf kids all night long in beds in little cottages protected by my Masonic brothers (boy, is THAT another story). Anyway, there's some really messed up cops, granted. I've known that since I was pulled over and searched on the curb every week for the years between sixteen and eighteen. But I don't hold the shortcomings of the hiring practices as gospel. I've known a LOT of good cops. Most of them, in fact (at least, the ones I've met--I don't believe I ever met the ones who went through my files or reset the passwords on the computers during the 'burglaries'). I wish there were more Serpicos. |
