1 Although I tend to agree that he doesn't relate to the military very well at all, I question what you believe what policies he could have implemented that would have prevented this maniac from killing his fellow servicemen. If there is any blame to place for this tragic situation I would believe that it lies with the military hierarchy who were told about his anti-American stances and did nothing about it. President Obama, although not a very good President, doesn't have responsibilty for maintaining the every day activities of every one in the military. |

2 The role of the President of the United States is that of healer and unifer. It is a great noble role carried out by men like Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt, and yes Ronald Reagan/George Bush Sr (after the Berlin Wall fell), and George Bush Jr after 911 and Hurricane Katrina. Obviously the only dope and embarrassment we have is you, for not knowing that about our great American Presidents. |

1 Nothing could have prevented this short of taking the very civil liberties our fore-fathers fought for. Keep in mind, the man was born in America. The man was a legal American citizen, who went to legal American schools, and who obtained a legal American profession. Any one of us legal, native born Americans can decide to go postal over our religious and political beliefs; Waco, Texas, Branch Davidian, Ruby Ridge, Timothy McVeigh, the Unibomber, Cho-the West Virginia State shooter, the Washington D.C. sniper, and yes, even in our state, the Red Lake Massacre. Generally, our mass murderers have been Christian. This time, the person is Muslim, persuaded by hate speech in an Islamic language and disillusioned with this nation's policies. Short of bugging every American household, tapping every American cell phone, and monitoring every American's emails, there is virtually no way we can predict the next incident nor who it may come from. Your sentiment is heartfelt, but your logic is far gone. |

1 And the role of the white man is to continue his genes. We must preserve our heritage and country for our sons and daughters. We must not let the African Americans and Hispanics over populate this great nation. Most folks posting here agree with my TRUE STATEMENTS. I'm just telling the outright truth! |

1 There are two good things about what you wrote. First, you, unlike a lot of people writing to this blog, openly alerted us to your bigotry. Honest really is the best policy. So while I detest your views, I admire your courage to tell it like it is, rather than to do what most posters do on this blog -- couch their racism in clever language (which we all know what you are really trying to say). That said, I hope you now can understand this Muslim's point of view. He doesn't like white Americans. His feelings were not going to change. Now, that still doesn't give him the right to kill white people. We are a civilized society. But that same hate you have is exactly what some Muslims feel about us. It may seem silly to us that anybody could dislike us, but then again, some white Americans, like you, don't like other Americans, namely blacks. And as long as we now understand each other, maybe we Americans can stop telling Muslims what to do in their own country. |

1 Obama clearly is on side. However, we almost had a race war after Reverend Wright's speeches were aired during the election. We almost had another race war when the incident in Boston occurred. We'll have yet another race war if we let white people stop Muslims on every street corner and administer mob justice. Everybody needs to remember the way we quarantined Asian Americans into concentration camps during World War II. We do need to keep our heads before we pull our nation apart. This is what the terrorists want to do. Pull our nation apart. |
