I see the liberals are already practicing their whinning(although they really don't need practice). I'm sure they want to be in good form for when they figure out that neither Obamma or Clinton will ever get elected in this country. Hopefully they will be kept away from the people that come to town to spend money!! GO McCAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of wasting their time with the protest march why don't they march up Summit.....go to Macalester....go to Caribou coffee shop...go to Starbucks coffee shop....go to bean factory coffee shop...swing by St. Kate's....Come back to Macalester and stand on the corner of Snelling and Summit like all the rest of the jobless people that sit there weekly? At least then they can be around people that care what they have to say? I'm just trying to help....

Agree or disagree with them the marchers have a legal right to peacefully assemble and protest.

What are the protesters complaining about? The proposed route gets them about 6 blocks closer to the convention than any protest group has gotten to a Democrat party convention. Double standards?

Everyone has the right to peacefully assemble and protest - for all the good it does, which is none. If they knew how to properly peacefully assemble and protest they might actually accomplish something. They just don't know how.

Yes, moonbats have the right to assemble and protest but someone show me where it's your right to have high visibility?

"One of the protesters' main complaints is that the city is accommodating demands by the convention over theirs." Really!? No...I don't believe it. Maybe, just maybe its because the RNC is PAYING to have these accomodations! And bringing in revenue rather than scaring off potential customers because of loud yelling and picketing. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for freedom of speech and having the right to express your opinion, just don't get in my way while you're doing it because I'll swerve at you with my car - no matter if your republican or democrat. Personally, I plan on getting as far away from teh Twin Cities as possible during the convention.

Since my wife works on the protest route, I guess I'll be forced to bring her to work and pick her up everyday. That's because these idiots wouldnt know what 'peaceful' meant if it reached up and bit them in the **** . I sure hate to see what kind of damage there going to do to downtown St Paul. Personally, I'd like to see them get jobs and pay taxes and do something productive other than be a nuisance.

"Personally, I'd like to see them get jobs and pay taxes and do something productive other than be a nuisance." Yeah, then they can selfishly whine and moan over every cent they're taxed, just like you and your fraudulent, conservative panty waste.

It's only for two hours really- the convention is much more of a hassle I would think than the two-hour protest that the city is allowing...

Can't wait for the tase-and-club-a-thon to take place this September. Anybody without a Convention Delegate tag or a press pass is sub-human and will be treated by the St Paul authorities as such, resident or not.

However, no where in "The Constitution" is the right to be heard. Therefore, their complaint about location and timing is laughable. Even if they gave a permit to allow these people the ability to march right thru the "X", what makes you think the attendees would stay and take that kind of verbal and physical abuse that this protest will bring to our town. As someone who will have to attempt to work in St. Paul during this convention: 1) Please keep the property destruction down to a minimum. 2) Please respect the opinions of others meaning do not reference the USA as murderers, evil, etc. I have 2 nephews going back to Iraq in October, I want our leaders to do whatever it takes to keep them safe. 3) Show some respect, go ahead and disagree but do it respctfully and with class. No flag burning, a lot of people, myself included still consider this a sacred symbol. It represents sacrifices my father, step father and ancestors believed in and gave to this country. 4) Please share your plans to protest in Denver as well. I am curious if your view of the Iraq war includes the Dems that supported this war. If you will not be protesting in Denver, please include protestors from Michigan and Florida. Their votes may not count but their opinion does. Why are you castigating the protesters for property destruction, flag burning or mean language before it even takes place? This is fear-mongering. 99% of protesters have no plans whatsoever to participate in these activities, yet they are already perceived as guilty. Shall we judge every member of the Republican party on the acts of those who beat and lynch homosexuals and non-whites? Or who espouse racially insensitive diatribes against anyone who has different skin color? Come on, get over your fears and try to be realistic.

I so much appreciate the right to be heard, and so much appreciate my right to petition my Government. I also appreciate your right to be wrong. Turn your hats around, hike up your pants, and get a job!! Put on a bra, wash your hair, and get a job!! Perhaps, then you that contribute nothing, will have legitimacy when there is an issue that needs re-dress.
