Why would any of the national media outlets think otherwise?
Our non-mayor has not lifted a finger to see that our city coiffers benefit from the millions of dollars that will pour into the economy over that weekend.
Any old day Normie would have allowed the Mpls Convention Center to host an event like the one that will allow Mpls to pull tens of thousands of visitors away from our Saintly City during the RNC.
I miss the days when we had a mayor who knew how to take advantage of events like this in order to keep our taxes down.
This clown Chrissy could'nt succesfully host a keggar at a college frat house.

Actually, the city was renamed because Father Galtier was so appalled by the former name, Pig's Eye, named after a colorful fur trader of "ill-repute" whom was blind in one eye. Pig's Eye, MN was renamed after a patient and forgiving Saint by an intolerant priest.
Should we, the people of Pig's Eye, MN, turn a blind eye to Michelle Bachman and Katie Couric's ignorance?(ba-dum ching!)
Wasn't Minneapolis originally pig's butt?

Then how come the big banner on the side of the X says "Welcome to the Republican Convention with Minneapolis first, then St. Paul. Do you think if Minneapolis was holding the convention, it would have St. Paul in its banner? This is St. Paul's show and Minneapolis is taking the glory away. Looks like Bachmann and Couric are correct.

Maybe they should have had the democratic convention in Minneapolis the same week. Saint Paul just wants their props. Big deal everyone knows Minneapolis is king of this region.
How silly. Saint Paul is the capital city and has been for 159 years. Minneapolis thinks they should be the capital city and never will be.

As for crime, Minneapolis is not in a position to ever criticize Saint Paul on this subject. It's like Richard Ramirez chastizing Gary Ridgway for being a serial killer.

Riddlin, this one's for you...

A 5-month-old baby being held by her grandmother during a family outing in Minneapolis's Powderhorn Park was shot in the thigh by a random bullet this evening, police said.

The baby was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where it was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The grandmother was not injured.

The gunfire erupted near the corner of 35th Street East and 14th Avenue South about 7:45 p.m. Police spokesman Sgt. Jesse Garcia said two vehicles had "some sort of altercation"; it is not known whether the occupants of one or both vehicles did the shooting.

Police had no suspects in custody this evening.

Is that because as STPCarrie says" St. Paul is the capitol city"? You really know your town.

For crying out loud, anyone offended by this slip of the tongue has a big problem. Everyone here has had what could be considered a slip of the tongue or worse and never even had to apologize for it. Instead of making an issue out of something minor, familiarize yourself with the real issues that actually matter so you know who to vote for come election time.
