Really, Stephen? What the people understand is that our own Congresswoman, from a district quite close to St. Paul, who is a Republican; whose party is having their convention in St. Paul GOT THE NAME OF THE CITY WRONG!!(The "Larger" area, btw, is Minneapolis/St. Paul not just Minneapolis!)
Atleast Couric is an outsider, Bachman is not! There is no excuse. Have her apologize and quit spinning the story.
As for reaching out to the traumatized.... quit making light of the strong feelings of those in this state - both FOR the City of St. Paul and AGAINST Bachman. It's episodes like these on National TV and the President hugging incident that make others truly think we are flyover country and make them wonder how we elected her!

Another day, another embarrassment for Minnesota, courtesy of our dim bulb in Congress, Michele Bachmann. At least she was just wrong this time. When she's not just plain wrong, she's lying through her teeth.

By the way has anyone EVER heard Michele Bachmann admit she was wrong, or apologize for anything?

By mentioining Minneapolis instead of Saint Paul confirms the media's mind set, Form will always trump Substance!

They were probably refering to Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic. This event is much more notable than the lost cause RNC.

Actually, the city was renamed because Father Galtier was so appalled by the former name, Pig's Eye, named after a colorful fur trader of "ill-repute" whom was blind in one eye. Pig's Eye, MN was renamed after a patient and forgiving Saint by an intolerant priest.

Should we, the people of Pig's Eye, MN, turn a blind eye to Michelle Bachman and Katie Couric's ignorance?(ba-dum ching!)
