Great leadership?!? Anyone who claims God told them to run for office is wingnut, period. The woman is an embarrassment to Minnesota politics & from a state that made Jesse Ventura governer & sent Norm Coleman to Congress that's saying something. Get the woman out of office by any means possible - she's already done enough damage to this state's reputation.
Wingnut is not in my dictionary. Please give us the definition and a credible verifiable source of that definition. As far as political embarassments, none was worse than Wellstone, Humphrey, Mondale and Perpich.

Something is happening to our climate. Look at the Ronald Reagan evidence( anecdotal) from the people who have lived in and around the Arctic Circle.Their permafrost freezers don't work and the shorelines are no longer protected from ice so erosion is causing problems for their villages.
Climate change has happened before. The ice age ended without burning any fossil fuel. What proof do you have that man is causing this.

I don't "know" that global warming is "hype and exaggerations, nor do I hate Rep. Bachmann (sorry, I don't know her well enough to be on a first-name basis with her). I think she is either hopelessly deluded in her thinking, or she just knows how to push the right buttons to get her base all fired up and get herself elected to office. Is gay marriage really the biggest issue facing America, or is it a way of riling up religious conservatives who might otherwswise sit the election out. Two dollars a gallon for gasoline again? No one who is not having an acid flashback thinks that's going to happen (unless, of course, we redefine the gallon), but it sure sounds good to the driver of a gas-hog.

Until you are forced to marry someone of the same gender, I don't see gay marriage being pushed down anyone's throat.

The US Department of Energy (run by undounted subversives appointed by that raving leftist George W. Bush) says that increased production will have a minimal, if any, affect on fuel prices. Do you have some secret source of information that they don't?

Oil is about supply and demand-always has been always will be.
Flood the market with greater supplies the prices shall fall.

Boner-

Your talking about the strategic oil reserves, yes that will not lower prices greatly.

Drilling in ANWR and Offshore will expand our supplies and thus lower prices.

I'm not "whinning" about gay marriage--it is Rep. Bachmann and her cultists who think it's such a big deal.

As far as supply and demand and the price of oil: drilling may increase supply somewhat, but it does nothing to address the demand part of the equation. Why do you think demand will not increase in the time it takes new oil sources to come into production?

The OCS is estimated to contain substantial resources of crude oil and natural gas; however, some areas of the OCS are subject to drilling restrictions. With energy prices rising over the past several years, there has been increased interest in the development of more domestic oil and natural gas supply, including OCS resources. In the past, Federal efforts to encourage exploration and development activities in the deep waters of the OCS have been limited primarily to regulations that would reduce royalty payments by lease holders. More recently, the States of Alaska and Virginia have asked the Federal Government to consider leasing in areas off their coastlines that are off limits as a result of actions by the President or Congress. In response, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) of the U.S. Department of the Interior has included in its proposed 5-year leasing plan for 2007-2012 sales of one lease in the Mid-Atlantic area off the coastline of Virginia and two leases in the North Aleutian Basin area of Alaska. Development in both areas still would require lifting of the current ban on drilling.

Per Wikipedia: Wingnut is a term currently used in U.S. politics as a political epithet referring to anyone that holds extremely conservative views or supports far right-wing politics. Moonbat is an analogous epithet aimed at extremists on the political left.[1]

According to an article by New York Times language maven William Safire, "The prevailing put-down of right-wing bloggers is wingnuts; this has recently been countered by the vilification of left-wing partisans who use the Web as moonbats..."[1]

It is generally believed to be an attenuation of the description "right-wing nut job" or "right-wing nut".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wingnut_ (politics)

Also included in this definition are people who consider some of Minnesota's, let alone the nation's, greatest politicians (Humphrey et. al.) to be "political embarrassments".

oil supply needs to meet and exceed our demand-simple.

The vast majority of americans wants marriage to be defined between man and woman. Not man and man, man and dog etc.

How 'bout you fascists stop whining about 'family values' and start paying attention to real issues like the economy, gas prices, health care, illegal immigration and the war. Who really cares who marries who? Plus, it'd be nice to read a post by one of you conservative moonies that was spelled correctly or had some facts, instead of your rabid rants and drooling on yourselves.
