Bachmann encounters challenger from within

Go Michelle! Drill here, drill now! The socialist Betty that represents St Paul sides with Pelosi to leave the shackles on this county. The blue dog democrats are dead and the Marxist liberals are running the show. They stand by while gas approaches $5 a gallon for gasoline. My only question is what does Betty think is too much for gas and what do the good people in her district think is too much for gasoline? I think the difference would scare everyone.

With all the complaining done on these sites about the job that the legislators are doing across the board, I am surprised that there are so few people willing to run against them. Every election should have 3 or 4 challengers to an elected office. Is it because running has become such a difficult and expensive thing to do? You have to be willing to put yourself under a microscope before withstanding the scrutiny of the press and public and still come out with your life intact. Then be able to raise the funds to out advertise and build a following to actually vote for you. Maybe that explains why so few people are willing to run for office today.

With Bachmans screwy record in congress it cant be too hard to unseat her. But she has the numb minded burbites following her like lemmings to the sea. Immelman has copied a page from the Bush playbook for his political stance. At least if Bachman get re-elected she will remain marginalized as she is now.

If this is the guy I think it is, he's gonna add some humor to the campaign.

It would be nice too see this dingbat Bachman out of Washington.

Bachman is what is wrong with politics today. She is all about pandering, no substance. I'm still embaressed by her display at the State of the Union a few years back. What a bimbo.

Immelman is an impressive man, with a serious message. Typical of the arrogance of the Republican Party leadership and Ron Carey to be so dismissive of the guy and not let his voice be heard. And that is what's wrong with politics, folks-the big-money talks, and the other candidates get shut out. How disappointing.

I think ron cary is the scum of the earth. Having said that, is this the guy that got on the microphone at the rochester convention and accused the republican leadership of "dictatorship"?

I think "rigged election" was a better description of the republican state convention than dictatorship.

Although things are improving in Iraq, there are still a number of people who either think we should not have removed Saddam Hussein (mostly those who benefited from his corruption and tyranny), and some who think we should not have stuck around afterwards to prevent radical Islamists like Al-Qaeda from taking over.

Those radicals have been unable to succeed on the battlefield, at the Iraqi ballot box, or in any of their "grass-roots" endeavors, for lack of a better term to describe their campaigns of massacre and intimidation.

No, their only hope is at the America, not the Iraqi, ballot box. People like Immelman continue to provide them that hope.

And for my part, I hope he swiftly returns to irrelevance.

Bachman has shown great leadership. I watched her be the first one speaking for domestic drilling of oil in ANWR and offshore. Now the idea is even being accepted by dems and **** on his latest flip flop.

she deserves alot of credit for being a leader on energy policies before it was even vogue

No clue - probably not, since that's the area that voted her in. I can only speak for myself - straight, fairly conservative, but someone who finds her to be an empty suit who panders to the voters like few other legislators I've seen. I don't think that classifies me as a hater.

You'd hate her, too...if she tried to amend the constitution to say you can't marry the person you love.
