Norm's shedding crocodile tears. There were enough lies in Coleman's bowling commercials to build a couch. Go take out the garbage Norm!

These two liberals, F and Nahm, must have an unspoken agreement that nothing in their campaigns will touch on anything important to the american people.

Since the initial shock of franken having power over my life has worn off, I just can't find much reason to care which one of these large government special interest tenders ends up giving my tax money to someone else.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Franken, if elected, will be an absolute embarrassment to the State of Minnesota. He is using residents of your state to carry his, frankly, off-the-mark politics to Washington, because he couldn't find any other suckers in any other state.

I am not a fan of career-politician Coleman, but Franken is an absolute idiot, and his fringe politics do not mesh with the values of hard-working Minnesotans.

(And yes, I grew up there)

Tom, is helping kids get a college education "fringe politics"? Is protecting jobs in Minnesota against the "values of hard-working Minnesotans"?
Maybe you grew up here, but you're not a Minnesotan. This here's a blue state with deep, pro-people values. There's nothing off the mark about him.
I did grow up here and I STILL live here. I see people suffering, I see kids missing opportunities, I see the resulting crime and poverty. It's been too long since you've been home Tom.
Maybe in Montana people desert their brethren. In Minnesota we treat our neighbors better: with respect for humanity and a push in an uphill direction.

Of course the add is misleading. It makes you think that he's gettting a $1 million dollar house for only $600 a month, instead of the bedroom that he's actually renting.

Also, Franken's absolutely failed attempt to apologize for his not paying income tax in 17 states (which he dosent even acknowledge) and workers comp in 2 others is also a total joke. Nice try Al, but your campaign and your candidacy is making us the laughing stock of the country....again!(see Ventura)

Ronald Reagan left behind a $200+ Billion deficit. George HW Bush left behind a $300+ Billion deficit. George W Bush is currently leading with a $450+ Billion deficit. Bill Clinton left behind a $200+ Billion SURPLUS.

So much for 'conservative' spending. It's like going out to dinner and getting stuck with the bill while they sneak out the bathroom window.

Is it my concern that I need to pay for someone else's college? My family was poor, I worked hard, took out loans, and paid my own way through college. There is no God given right to a college education. If you want it, earn it. Exactly, how does the DFL protect jobs for "hard working Americans"? By not allowing us to create new jobs drilling for our own oil? By raising taxes and minimum wages, so small businesses are forced to layoff employees because they cannot pass these added costs on to their customers? "Pro-People Values" are allowing someone to make the most of themselves, letting them learn from their mistakes, taking personal responsibility for themselves, and trying to individually make the world a better place. It's obvious government cannot do this. They have been stealing and redistributing money for decades to help the homeless, the poor, the minorities, the children in schools and on and on. Yet, we still have large numbers of homeless, poor, and schools never seem to have enough to curb their insatiable appetite. Maybe it's time we dump all these useless programs and force parents to be parents, and have them take care of the kids, so I don't have to. There are no guarantees in life, and as soon as we think we have right to everything, we will end up with nothing, including the loss of our freedom.

Norm Coleman is complaining about "misleading" ads? This man's whole campaign to date is based on a deliberate effort to mislead voters about Al Franken and he has the gall to complain about "misleading" ads?

Sen. Coleman chooses to engage in gutter politics; why should he be angry when the other side heads down to gutter to fight back?

The more I read about this story the more I trust Franken. He has been honest in his repsonse to the tax situation and paid the taxes. Coleman's recent ad, though the dates in fine print at the bottom of the screen are correct for the verbal tense used in the TV ad, is deceptive beacuse the ad implies Franken still owes unpaid taxes, which he doesn't. Also, Coleman did help bring hockey back to Minnesota, but it was as a mayor, not a Senator, & as a Democrat, not a Republican. Again, not quite the whole truth. Franken knows the national and local issues, will represent Minnesota and our values, and cares about the direction this country needs to go. He authored several books that addressed many of the important issues I hope to hear debated in the coming months.
