I was at the Minneapolis showing - loved it. More women need to know that childbirth can be a positive and empowering experience, orgasm or not.

Another reason to vote NO on the arts bill. Otherwise we get garbage like this "piece."

Fascinating! I'm sure that most women never had an orgasm with the man in the first place when they actually got pregnant since most men are selfish. At least now they have a second chance.

Ironic how the two b.s. comments about this article are from men who will never and can never actually experience labor and birth.

Why is everyone so judgmental about this. If you don't accept this method, FINE. Some people are happy to find natural forms of birth and as you can read from the article this woman has been received very well. Why all the criticism? If you're a fan of modern medicine, GREAT. If you're not, that's fine too. Keep your cynicism to yourself!

Wow, amazing. I had a medicated birth with my first with an OB--induced for no reason, epidural because the induction was so painful, then a c-section because my baby couldn't take it anymore, poor thing. I had a successful VBAC with a midwife (in a hospital) with no epidural and you know what--it was so much less painful, and so much more wonderful. No orgasm, but so much better. Everyone--dump your OB''s, they only want to cut you! And it hurts alot, more than labor and in so many ways!!!

Having seen my children emerge from the birth canal, I can assure you that mothers find the creation of a new live to be "positive and empowering" without having a move state the obvious. The only way I can see women not understanding this is if they are taught otherwise in women's studies classes. I recall some liberals who actually claimed that the power and privilege of bearing life was something unfair to women--a burden that men didn't share. Now that is simply a very narrow view of life.
