We don't need Robb, and by the way. 11 ribbies and one homer is not a slugger. Your thinking like a pitcher again

The Twins front office staff gets too much credit from the media and fans. While it is a good staff, they have their share of mistakes. I will never understand why they released David Ortiz (I believe because he wouldn't shorten his swing and try to go to the opposite field), and I also thought it was ludicrous when they released Grant Balfour. Ortiz has been proving them wrong for years and years, and now Balfour is showing that he is a big-time reliever as well. Earlier this year LaTroy Hawkins was released about the time that Eddie Guardado became available. I posted then that they should go after Hawkins, who wanted to be here, rather than Guardado. Hawkins has a lot more life in his arm, while Eddie G is done. Hawkins sparkled with Houston the last two months of the season, while Eddie did nothing. GO GOPHERS!

Good to know Matt Blair is planning a golf/safari trip and Jack Nicholson's daughter was in town. Oh, and Pam Borton likes Tina Turner...Come on, it's Sunday! Don't you save your best stuff for the biggest circulation day of the week?

Franklin Adams of St. Louis is a fat pig. No one cares that he was a big soft sissy in high school and is still looking for his first unpaid date.

Ortiz stunk out the place when he was here but mainly he was hurt all the time so they dumped him and his salary. As for Balfour, well, he was a pain in the butt. He was oft injured and he and the Twins staff/doctors had some disagreements about his rehab so they dumped him as well. There is usually more to it than meets the eye and so, there you have it....both were good moves at the time...hindsight my fried, is a wonderful thing.
