I'm glad it's over, truly.
Seeing the snipers on top of the Hilton in Minneapolis every morning on my walk to work was not something I'd like to experience again.

I want to thank the St. Paul Police and Ramsey County Sherrif's Department for their service to the community this past week. You did an awsome job upholding the laws of our fine city and state! It is too bad that a few bad apples always feel they need to ruin things for everyone else.

what needs to be understood here - the press doesn't get this and neither do the execrable lawyers who litigate for these people - these anarchists have no legitimate or even coherent political message or ideology. They are members of a misanthropic cult.
Let me say it again -misanthropic, sociopathic, psychotic, CULT. Although childish and moronic, they are dangerous criminals. As political expression, anarchists have no more legitimacy than the Hell's Angels, Crips, Bloods, MS-13 or any other criminal enterprise.
100% on the mark. I'm pleasantly surprised to hear someone from "the cities" with your attitude. I know that most people from that area are extreme left-wing loons. You are not, and that's very cool!

When I was in Korea, there was a state of martial law. Occasionally, I would find myself surrounded by South Korean troops. It was extremely unnerving.
The same feeling came back while navigating St. Paul this week. It seemed just like martial law again. It wasn't my city any more.
I hope nobody ever gets the idea of bringing back a debacle like this again.

What do you expect from a state whose roots go back to Hubert Humphrey, and Wellstone who is martyred like a saint. And every left wing nut is treated like royalty (Garrrison Keilor) Do you think Al Franken would be taken seriously in any other state? This debacle rests squarley on the shoulders of Mayor Coleman who should be run out of office, Thune as well. It is time for critical thinking people to rise up. To borrow from McCains campaign Country before party, How about City before party...vote!

Lock them all up. Or give them a gun, squad car, and the authority to run ammuck in the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department on our tax dollar like Bob Fletcher's best friend and best man did for years!

Too bad Sheriff Bob Fletcher's best friend and best man, Nark Naylon couldn't have worked this event. He would have cleaned up the streets and stole all their money had he not been caught by the FBI for stealing!

Great job to the police in dealing with these left wing anti-American stinking criminal hippies. I wish we could of locked more of them up for you here in looney left Denver. They are truly the product of a left wing party and media that constantly attack this great Country and the core values America represents. Their values are those of blame, no accountablity, no responsibility and looking for a handout from everyone while contributing nothing to this Country.--- Again, great job to the police! God Bless Our Great Country, God Bless Our Troops and God Bless Our Great President, George Bush.--- Just because something ( or someone ) is popular, doesn't make it right. Vote McCain / Palin !!!

Every weekend for the last ten years we have been coming to St. Paul for Dinner and Entertainment. No more, if this is how thw Police and Mayor are going to treat it's citizens we will opt for another locale, perhaps Minneapolis or Duluth for our weekend trips.

Krenut, sucking up to Fletcher will not get you elected, read the papers, he just had two close friends and employees convicted of Federal Crimes, positioning yourself with this failed Sheriff is sure to spell BIG LOSER for your campaign. After you lose this election I here there is a job opening at the sheriffs dept. for public information officer, your a probable shoe in for that position.

These anarchist groups are the equivalent to soccer hooligans found in Europe and around the World. The definition of the word anarchist tells you what they are about – they want to destroy government, law, and society. It’s ironic, they are willing to resort to violence to achieve their goals, but they cry foul if government, law, and society responds in kind.

Anti-war protest, huh? Well, then I'd expect to see some signs like "End suicide bombing" or "Taliban = death" or "End Terrorism". But not likely, of course, as the real message of these whackos is simple hate for their own country.

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu!
Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you.

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye!

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

This is pathetic that Minnesotans have behaved so immaturely! Their "protests" were conducted poorly and they think that disrespecting police make their case, I was embarrassed for them because it made them look like a bunch of losers! Those women that stormed the Excel Energy Center during McCains speech looked like they belong in a Mental Institution.

This was a Republican convention. It's their leader who started and can end the war in Iraq.

If Al Qaeda holds a convention here, I'll gladly carry one of the signs you suggest.
