She should be removed. If she is to cast a vote for mccain, she certaininly isn't voting on issues and the dem platform, so it's right that she should go.

well if she wants to vote for mccain, go ahead because she's screwing herself as a woman and not thinking about women's issues are at stake!!..because this is about a black man who's running for president, she wants to screw the democrats and forget about every woman in the united states..see hillary played the race and sexism cards during the election, she divided the party and never thought about the consequences..the white woman would vote for mccain is a racist and she better hope that her daughter's reproductive parts aren't at stake, she better worry if her social security entitlements aren't stripped from her etc..all women ( no matter what race you are) better vote obama or the GOP will take everything from you like they have been doing for years!!..

So much for free speech. I suggest she change party. Or at least keep privite voting private. Not the brightest bulb in the pack.

I am glad the committee voted her out. Senator O is our nominee
if she can't honor the majority of voters then she needs to go to the
convention where her heart is

Of course she can change her vote. BTW it should be "their" but better would be "a person can change her/his vote". The point is that she was elected as a DEMOCRATIC delegate. If she is supporting the Republican candidate, she has no place as a Democratic delegate. Her ouster was in accordance with the rules and absolutely correct.

It is right that she be removed. She should vote her voncience, of course, but she does not represent the best interests of the party if she crosses the aisle on this, and making a public issue of it was a deliberate act.

Perhaps her intent here is to further antagonize the hornets nest of other angry Clinton supporters that plan to protest at the convention.

I only wish the "crap cannon" story was true...

What endangered free speech here? She spoke her mind and the Democratic Party made a decision that if she supported the Republican nominee, against the rules of the Democratic Party, then she should be ousted.

She can then go ahead and follow her heart; the doddering old dangerous neocon who is against almost everything that the women's movement stands for.

Very astute suggestions. Free speech doesn't appear to be the issue, though. The issue is intentionally violating rules she voluntarily agreed to abide by. And given the fact she survived the long delegate winnowing process to become a national convention delegate, she's familiar enough with how the organization works to understand that.
