Democrat Barack Obama is the only presidential candidate who "gets it" when it comes to the nation's economic problems, his wife Michelle Obama told supporters Monday.

Obama is very compassionate and has spent his whole life giving money to people who are struggling.

Problem is the money he is so generously giving is from working-class families, like mine, who are self-sufficient. Its called marxism, and it reduces the standard of living of every country that embraces it.

I love how he thing businesses can just start paying for universal health care. Doesn't he realize that if businesses are forced to provide more benefits then either jobs or wages will be cut?

Oh sure, he get's it.

Why doesn't he "get it" when his wife badmouths America?

Why didn't he "get it" when his Pastor was dripping with American hatred?

Give me a break!

I bet he "got it" when he donated $800,000.00 to ACORN! Yes, he was a generous supporter of their "work".

Your hatred is really frightening.

Okay, buddy--unless your "working class family" pulls down more than a coupla hundred grand a year, where on earth do you get the notion that your income will be "taken" from you and given to the undeserving masses? If you do make that kind of money, you are certainly NOT working class. Jerks like the Lehman Bros. set will lose their tax breaks, but I hardly think that will affect their current standard of living.

Where did you read that small businesses will bear that burden? Universal health care would be provided THROUGH employers--not BY them. Selective hearing, perhaps?
As for you, Slider, I imagine your non-existent link is to some terror-inducing, hate-mongering, slanderous online diatribe designed to freak out the masses with incendiary language, conveniently out-of-context footage, unreliable sources, and an appalling lack of facts. Do grow up and actually read something.

I get mad at both sides. Some people think Obama has a "pastor" problem. Have you checked into Palin's church? For every negative thing you can say about Obama/Biden there are equally negative things to be said about McCain/Palin. The sad thing is, these are all good people who just have different points of view on solving the problems that face us. Vote for who ever fits your views most closely, and do something positive instead of spewing venom. I don't care which side your on, the negativity I hear is really disturbing and will benefit no one.

O.K. In the last debate Obama said he was going to give a tax break to 97% of Americans. The trouble is, 47% don't pay any federal tax.

As for health care. From the Obama 08' website.
"make employer contributions more fair by requiring large employers that do not offer coverage or make a meaningful contribution to the cost of quality health coverage for their employees to contribute a percentage of payroll toward the costs of their employees health care."

And this money will come from? Wait there's more.

"Require insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions so all Americans regardless of their health status or history can get comprehensive benefits at fair and stable premiums."

Apparently Obama doesn't say what magic wand will make premiums be fair or stable if you require them to cover pre-existing conditions.

"Reduce the costs of catastrophic illnesses for employers and their employees"

How? Someone has to pay for it. Are you going to tell doctors or hospitals what they can charge?

All these things sound great until the bill arrives that we either pay as tax payers or patients.

Oh, and as for the whole screechy "Liberals don't love America" battle cry, lemme ask you this...

If your teenage kid is knocking over liquor stores to pay for drugs and you question his actions, does that mean you couldn't possibly love him?

If you question your daughter's judgment in spending her college fund to buy her boyfriend a car, does that mean you couldn't possibly love her?

Think about it, and stop hurling accusations that do nothing to help this nation YOU supposedly love so much.

Attack, attack, attack. I'm so sick of the constant shrilling. Do you people have anything good to say about your candidate and whatever his ititiatives are to help the middle and working class?(I haven't heard any, since all I've heard is what a scary, scary man "that one" is.) That might go a little further than the non-stop spewing of venom about Obama/Biden.

If John McCain and Sarah Palin have no respect or regard for their formidable opponent, what on earth makes you think they have any for you or me?
